You will have to be a beginner to purchase a camera like this. There isn't anything exceptional, apart from its sixze about this camera's that warrants it's high price tag.

Really???????

As former enthusiast of photographing using the Canon A1 ( the leadingsemi-pro Analogue of its time) and developing my own prints , I can say the Sony cybershots, including this T900 are pretty superb cameras.

Had one of these cameras but took it back after 1 day. In low light conditions with the flash you get specs on the pictures. According to the shop; its dust in the air and picked up on the pictures because the flash is too close to the aperture. Now have a Canon Ixus - Brilliant....!!

You took a camera back because it was so good you could see the dust in the air? The distance from the flash and the lens will have no bearing on this, bright light in a dusty room will always make it visible, and IMO it showed how detailed the pictures were and not a flaw with the camera.

Although I am not sure it is worth £230, I have always been either Sony or Fuji for cameras.
