For that price, you can get a good entry level DSLR...
It might be a good digicam, but too over-priced in my opinion (even though it might be a good find)
 sorry mate, cold for me, but worth REP

Poor spec for the price and you'll eternally regret being stuck with expensive MemoryStick dedicated memory.

Sony trading on their brand again - their cameras aren't that special. I'd always look at Panasonic first - terrific cameras and they no longer charge a premium over the competition; eg I just bought a ZX-1 (similar to TZ series but with 8x optical zoom in a much more compact body) for just £149.99 at Currys (it's on runout).

... well, this Sony does get very good reveiws at

Yes, but Panasonic screw us with their ID secured battery farce. I've also got the ZX1 (and a few other Pannys), and even though you can get 3rd party batteries that work they're still a tenner a piece.

The blue version of this camera was only £169 at Play the other day (now £225), and the Grey version is currently £215, so no wonder this post is cold.

The silver version is available for £170 (+ £10 delivery) from Hyperfi.

Saw this camera instore, and it is extremely slim and attractive, but I can't live without a wide angle these days.
