If you are spending this sort of cash on a laptop, make sure it's an AMD. In a recent gadget show segment, a top end Sony could not even render a simple piece of video from a HD camcorder.

£200 of that price is going on the screen.

Save the money and get a Sony VGN-FZ21M.

As for going with AMD over C2D... you gotta be nuts.
