Here's a comment for you - it is a craptastic laptop for the cash

Poor screen resolution, HD 3000 is poor, only a 500GB HDD and 4GB RAM - just look at the spec on the Lenovos posted recently to realise why this laptop stinks in comparison.

Hopefully that helps explain the chill

The RAM issue isnt a big deal, RAM is cheap, 4GB is enough for most people, and it can be upgraded easily.

Some people are very self-important On here. Hukd is full of this kind of anonymous slandering now. Not got much else going on, obviously...

@Offyourhighhorse - nice to see you have taken the time to create a new account to post anonymously on this thread ...

I'm assuming you are not referring to me as I do not see any slander in my post ... unless they recently changed the definition of course?

@ qashjee was asking why the post was going so cold, so I thought I would point out what the obvious issues were, and hopefully helped point some others to better deals ... is that a problem?

Agreed with the RAM, but any clues how to fix the rest for a cost less than the Lenovo's or Dells that often get posted?

most laptops come with 4gb of ram. Being sony,s laptop with 3rd generation i5 processor i still believe its a fairly good price for a good looking laptop.

just wait till you need contact with customer services. Then you'll be sorry

Sony is perhaps better built? Better screen maybe? You'd have to try them.

is that a question or an assumption about build quality?
when i was looking a few years back the quality varied massively across the ranges
if you must go for this then check them in pc world if available and make sure you get the right gen as this is 2 gens ago now
3 newer refurbs there now for less - last gen with better graphics but i3 for 299 a better buy for sure
not sure why cheaper but has 6 month warranty for some reason

6 warranty months due to being refurbished better build than any Lenovos but it is an old machine. Hence the poor feedback

thats not the case for the ops machine though which was my whole point
standard warranty on the refurb in OP not 6 months like the others i mentioned
