Wrong link.

I bought this exact laptop (the one in the description not the one you linked to incorrectly). I got it for £700 from dixons (using there 5% off discount code) & also have approx £23 quidco aswell. cold from me

Also, it's £746 at ]laptopsdirect.

Seriously considering this model - adsldave, does it run ok at 1920 x 1080 on the 15.5" screen. I want as high res as possible and this is more than a lot of 17 inchers offer. Could do with findout one in store somewhere to check it out!

hmm, wonder what Vaio reliability is like compared to say an equivalent Dell or HP...

I have 2 Vaio's. One I've had for about 2 years and has been spot on. The 2nd had a full cup of coffee spilt on it and other than the screen and DVD writer dying - it still works fine!
I've not owned a Dell but my old man has had 3 over the last 5 years and every one has needed the Hard drive replaced. He is a very light user as well. I don't know about HPs

Don't blame HDD failure on the brand.

Blame bad design (materials and paint) and hinge failure on the brand.

All other internal components should not be included (unless the design causes stress, heat or physical, on the component).

For example, I've had two faultless Dell's. But they are 5 years old and have no relation to today's new laptop ranges.

Do you have a link for this at Dixons? - I'm unable to find this model on their site....
