decent enough price, but a very impractical pc, i am sure people will disagree with me, but you can spend a lot less (less than half this price) and get near enough the same spec (obviously not exactly the same, but similar)
Looks cool but you're paying OTT for the brand.

......... you're paying OTT for the brand.

+1
RRP £800-900?! I'd expect it to have a shiny Apple on the back for that amount of money! That's crazy. I got an NC10 netbook and an extra 1GB of RAM (making it 2GB) for £300 less than the "cheaper" price. This Vaio is hardly a quantum leap in technology.
i think its a pretty good deal to be honest...

it has a fair few features that mark it out from your average netbook...
2gb ram, windows 7 premium, much larger screen res...
and most notably half the weight!

shame about the poopy cpu tho
Not very good at all. I used this for a while, couldn't stand it. There should be no between. Either a netbook or IPhone/PDA. Anything in between simply negates it's own advantages no matter how good. The price is too as well.
the smallest netbook out there by some margin,
and these are in a class of their own.
Usual overpriced Sony
artificial rrp -- join campaign to ban this rubbish
I had the first model and it was a joke, but very cute. The battery life was rubbish, gutless cpu & vista just ran the hd constantly. You also needed a magnifying glass to read the screen.

However, to be fair to Sony a lot of things are sorted in this new ver - decent(ish) battery life now 5 hours, a better CPU (ok not outstanding but better) & Win 7 is better too. Pity they didn't make the screen bigger & drop the res.

If you do a lot of travelling/writing, prefer a real keyboard & don't want to be locked into the world of Apple, then this is a viable option. Sure there are plenty of netbooks for half the price - but they weigh twice as much & are twice the size.
Now is 449 plus delivery, any vouchers, codes for Morgan Computers? BTW, SONY is doing VAT-back, so it may be a good deal to buy...
