it's hot in terms of it's the cheapest you can get this model, but i feel there are other models out there of a similar spec / build quailty that are better... like this
ebuyer.com/pro…297
or
ebuyer.com/pro…998
or
pcworld.co.uk/gbu…tml

Hope that helps some people - annoys me that people vote cold and never say why

I know some people are goign to say about the build quality of some of these models, but i think that is down to opinion, i've had HP and Tosh and my next machine is a Dell... it mainly comes down to user knowledge and how well it is looked after

Not voting either way

Thanks for the explanation, the same laptop got over 200 degress a couple of weeks ago so it's beyond me :?

I ended up with one after that debacle with M&S and the wrong spec, I got it for £429 as a way of compensation . I gave it to my daughter as it didn't have a separate graghics card . I've got to say that it's an excellent bit of kit .The touchpad is kind of rough and it feels rather strange at first but you soon get used to it . I got a two year warranty from M&S. Would highly reccomend.

This was only £474 on Amazon last week! :whistling:

No way I would choose a HP or Toshiba over this (had awful experiences with both). Samsung, maybe the R580 but not the R530 you linked.

I have had wonderful expereinces with both. like i said, it's down to tghe user really.

In case anyone is still looking at this model it`s now cheaper via Dixons with Quidco.
It`s £484.00 on Dixons and you get 3 per-cent back on Quidco - so £14.52 back. Brings it to a total of £469.48. Delivery is also free.
Hope that helps,
Keith
