Good deal as the Sony dock was £70 last time I checked b4 some wee **** knicked my walkman while i was showering at the gym

Looks like a good deal, I wonder if it would work with this phone posted a short time ago Clicky

Think 10% Quidco at the moment.

This is one of the few bits of kit which has the WM-PORT for the Walkman MP3s.
Just like rudder I have been looking for ages for this to come down from the usual £69.99. At this price I think it's the cheapest speaker dock for a Walkman.

Yep, its rare that even Sony support their own Walkmans with dedicated docks...I would be over this like a rash if it supported internet radio or DAB.

good deal. but dont have a se phone.

Ordered...thanks.

Thanks, needed a new alarm clock and nice to find one that will work with my walkman.

Quidco is 5% at the moment.

Sorry to be dunce on the matter but does this work with ALL Sony walkmans? I have a rather old model, is there a webpage to show compatible devices, or do all walkmans have the same connection?

Cracking find, will make a lovely Christmas present for my X-series

Reevoo suggests it wont fit your x seies

It looks a bit daft the way you have to pull the dock out further for the Walkman connection and have the phone connection sticking out uselessly at the end. I'd be tempted otherwise.

NO WAY!

I think it's fine, the review is just saying the X-series will sit on the dock in a different orientation to that shown in the Sony picture (portrait instead of landscape). If you look at the picture on the Sony website it makes sense. Hopefully

Champion. Been looking for one of these at a reasonable price for some time. Heat.

Not a good unit-too bright even on dim setting, bit fiddly to set up, has been this price for months and am sure someone else has posted it before.

Does anybody know if this is compatible with an Xperia Arc?

So is this only for walkman phones?? The connection does not look very walkman mp3 player friendly!

Great find and voted hot! I was looking for a new alarm clock and Ive already got a compatible Sony Walkman and a new Sony Ericsson so this is perfect for me. Shouldnt be buying myself stuff before Xmas but what the hell!

The Sony ICF-7iP Dock Clock Radio, which is very similar but is for Ipods, has been posted at this price at Marks & Spencer. I have not seen this model as cheap.

Received mine today, works fine with the X-series. The lower side section actually slides out and has two ports on it- the first for Sony Ericsson phones and the second for Walkman. Terrific sound quality for a £34.50 alarm clock too, in my opinion. Thank you again rudder

Mine came with a dead internal battery (CR 2032) so the Auto Time Set feature did not work.
I believe this is because it is old stock.
If you have bought this to be given as a Christmas present it could prove an annoyance and may be worth checking prior.

Actually same here. In the instructions it is specific about this and says a fully functional internal battery is a warranty matter and Sony Centres will provide a replacement free of charge if the battery is "weak" at the offset (obviously they realised the battery would deteriorate in stock). In terms of functionality it is not essential though; just means the clock doesn't remember time/date/alarms etc. when it is unplugged from the mains.

Good point though, might make the gift seem a bit cheap if it isn't fully operational. We've all been there on the big day though! X)

Got mine and just the job. I had the battery weak signal on mine too. However....I had to move the clock to where I wanted it so needed to unplug (after I had set the time etc). Plugged it back in - and it remembered everything despite being off for a few minutes. So probably not a big problem. I tried my walkman playing though it - sound is surprisingly good and loud for such a small set. Very impressed. This could be useful for taking away with you on breaks/holiday etc - as long as youve got a walkman full of tunes youll be fine!

The mobile connector is for those old Sony Walkman phones though so forget using a new Sony Ericcson phone with it. This was a negative for me but Im still happy with the price paid.

They've reduced the price to £27.60 now.
That's annoying if like me you've already bought one but it's now an even better buy.
