Latest Earpods to hit the market and these come with the same active noise cancelling as their WM-1000XM3 Headphones bothers. 6 hours battery life with noise cancelling on, 8 with it off and 2 additional full charges from their carry case (which tbh could have done with being a tad smaller), plus 90 mins listen from a 10 min charge.

Delivery took around 5 days from dispatch so shipping from China not any of their EU Warehouses but arrived via My Hermes in perfect condition, well bubble wrapped as I've always found eGlobal likes to ship.

Impressed with the sound quality, it's on the brighter side of tone and offers great detail tho I've found that the foam tips lose a little over the silicon ones but I prefer the greater comfort they offer but that's subjective.

Both the same price currently, I paid £172 for mine last week so price is fluctuating a little.

Sony honour the warranty? I've seen people say yes and no. Wondered if anyone knew for sure?

Probably not but didn't have an issue with eGlobal with a Pioneer XDP100R that went faulty.

I've a pair of Flare Audio Pros, they are "wireless" Bluetooth earphones but they are wired into a Bluetooth dongle. Also some have straps that run between each earpiece.

So are my beats solo 3 ‘true wireless ‘?

Not sure it's needed as Sony's App uses DSEE it's new MP3 boosting software. Sound quality is very good from these even with DSEE turned off, I'm not sure of the point of listening to HiRes via Bluetooth anyway, something is always going to get lost in the compression.

No, they are wireless headphones.

But they don’t have wires ?? I’m confused
All the chat about wireless... shouldn’t these be referred to as earphones anyway not headphones 🤪

They do have wires, there's wires that go between the cans within the head band.

Blame the Mod that modified my original listing heading

The way to think about it is that wireless headphones have a wire connecting the left earphone to the right (whether this is a open wire like the jaybird x4s or via band like the Sony wx1000 series) but not one connecting to the source of the audio.

True wireless don't even have a wire connecting one headpone to the other.

Review …Review here:https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2019/aug/14/sony-wf-1000xm3-review-updated-noise-cancelling-earbuds-sound-great

its funny, i read a lot of reviews and they all seem to be similar to each other each with their own twist to it. they all say how great the calling is, it's ok, but still not good enough unless you're in a quiet environment just like every other earphone.
also none of them mention about how poor the fittings are, except the independent non sponsored reviews.

Funny, some reviews I watched on YouTube said the calling quality is ok but not great, haven't had a problem taking a call in a busy workshop earlier with them.

Don't have a problem with the fittings either, I'm guessing people aren't inserting them right and/or are using the wrong size buds.

hilarious
not much to the fittings, insert and twist...then hope for the best they don't come out at some movement.

Bud size is important too! Absolutely no problems with mine staying in when walking and moving about so either you have freaky abnormal ears or your just a Sony basher and haven't actually tried em....
Yeah OK, "Sony basher". Good one kid

Kid? Behave yourself.

So going by what I'm saying I'm obviously being sponsored by Sony because MY Actual experience is different from some reviews you've read on the internet and not the general consensus that these are pretty good when your own actual experience is completely zilch?

If these were cr@p I wouldn't have wasted folks time posting this deal, instead I ordered, waited till they arrived, used them then posted.

Maybe I should have just trolled some post instead eh?...

Very defensive over a deal. Chill bro
Looks like it's a copied deal. 2 others have beaten you to it.

The higher the bitrate the better though and DSEE is, I suspect, marketing spiel. At least I haven't found any improvement when using it and keep it off in my Sony devices.
Yes Sony say DSEE HX works with many recordings when the bitrate is at least 256kbps to start with but there is a real lack of information about the actual details of DSEE.

Sony really dropped the ball by not including at least aptx or their own LDAC in these. I was considering a pair to see if they were any better than my Cambridge audios but I don't think I'll bother now.
Jeesh. So expensive. No doubt quality is better than the Xiaomi airdots but like is it actually worth it?

These are aimed to be a premium product and are actually at the cheaper end of that segment. I'm finding they are better than my Flare Audio Pro's but definitely behind my Shure SE846 earphones (but then they should be). They also don't cancel out background noise anything like my WM-1000XM2 Headphones do but again it was hardly likely they would either. The sound is bright and clear with plenty of detail, there's not an expansive sound stage admittedly but bass is surprisingly strong for a pair of earphones.

Are there any budget-friendly earphones you would recommend?

Not earbuds I'm afraid, all I can say is these are absolutely well worth the money.
Is the 6-8 days delivery accurate?
