These products will be fully tested and repaired where necessary by an authorised repair centre. Sony offers 2 types of refurbished product, Grade A and Grade B. Grade B products may have more significant imperfections than Grade A (and may have been used for more than 500 hours) and are priced accordingly. Have a non refurbished pair of these and this is a super price. Hardly earwax in them to be fair. I'd grab myself a bargain, think cream ones are in stock

I had these, new from Amazon, they just wouldn't stay in my ears.
You have to ask yourself, for newly released units, the amount of threads from different suppliers offering returns, why is this happening?
They are superb sound wise but they just won't stay in

Same for me initially, wasn't able to select delivery method due to stock, but both colours are available as of 7am 10/1. Taken a chance on the silvers.
Refurbished = wiped over.
Bought them for the same price in December, from the sony centre and they arrived next day in pretty much as new condition.

Sound and app functionality are fantastic, as is the fit (for me anyway) but not as comfy or aesthetically pleasing as my RHA true wireless ones.

ANC is really impressive given the size.

Have only used them briefly outside but wind noise is a real problem.

Mine were brand new and only slight damage to box

Thats cool . Im slightly confused by it being "refurbished" then. What exactly has been refurbished?
I got these for pre ordering my Sony xperia 5 in October, absolutely brilliant earphones. Would recommend.
I was going to buy these, but they weren't sweat proof unfortunately - so not suitable for gym. But great deal never-the-less. Doesn't matter about someone else's earwax comments.

From what I understand, any returns including unopened or unused can't be resold as new. e.g. if a customer orders online and isn't available to receive the package which is returned the product ends up in the refurbished box.

I ordered a pair 2-3 weeks ago. Mine didn't have any protective plastics, not sure if there is any, but I couldn't see any signs of use, greasy fingerprints or odours you get on used products.

I wasn't sure how much I would use them but I'm using them almost daily. Recently started working from home and an unexpected use it to cancel out the noise from the neighbours. I also found I'm using my tablet or phone in bed again to watch videos, instead of just reading, as there are no cables to get tangled. Plus I'm more likely to take these out for a short walk or to the supermarket because of how quick and easy they are to take out the case and insert in to the ears.

My other IEMs, Sennheiser IE80, need to cable untangled and straightened (the OEM cable is stiff) and the IEMs aren't the easiest to get in to each other comfortably. There probably is a loss in sound but the convenience makes up for it.

Open the app, in the noise cancelling ambient slider thing you can select wind noise reduction. This keeps noise Cancelling but it's reduced slightly and nearly eliminates the wind noise. Thank me later

I just turn it on to full and never paid attention to the actual 'situations' to deploy it with, cheers!
I wonder how many reviewers actually took them outside, especially during windy day.
They will drop connection constantly.
It's not only Sony's, other brand suffer this too.

Would you mind telling me if you have any lip-sync issues when using with tablet? which video apps are you using and is it an android or apple tablet? Thanks!

That's not normal and may be down to your other device. I have a pair of these that I use while running - I've only had very brief drops in connection and these are very rare.

I had lipsync issues using similar (but much cheaper!) earphones for some video on my Android phone. Netflix seemed to be fine, but vlc had issues. These were resolvable though, as it has a manual delay setting.

They're notorious for it to be fair, Google it. It's even mentioned in some reviews.
Link either not working or expired. Same for the white version.
Thanks. Missed these last time so have just ordered a pair

Can you link me a few please, I've not found any that mention it.

Mine work flawlessly, even outside. I use mine running without any problems and at home I can leave my phone in my upstairs bedroom and use these in the kitchen just fine.
I guess I got the last pair.
JamPau10/01/2020 16:54

I have thanks, yes, I tried all the tips that came with the buds and also the tips I use successfully from my 65Ts. I know from reading many reviews I'm (sadly) not alone with this issue. Shame really

I have these and have been struggling to figure out the best way to fit them. I'm almost thinking of getting additional ear plug sizes to see if the ones that came with them are simply the wrong size for my "special" ears. They do sound great and the NC works really well. Kind of think, due to their size and how far out stick out, Sony might have wanted to include some sort of ear loop option to keep them in tighter... anyway I've still not given up on mine.
Comply tips have been great for me in the past, will see what they are like when they arrive and then order some.

I lol'd at special ears :-)
See, I took the tips off my perfectly sealing 65Ts and they didn't seal as well. I put my 65Ts in by inserting then twisting and the seal is very good, creating very good noise passthrough (not quite the same as ANC sadly).
I'm not sure if extra, additional tips will help, Sony do provide very good selection.
Like you, I wish I could figure it out but I bought at near full release price and didn't fancy a £220 gamble.
I don't enjoy wearing overhead headphones, so do very much prefer buds and would like a premium pair with ANC or reduction of some kind. The 65Ts work well but when working correctly, the Sony's do feel next level. Perhaps your patience will be rewarded :-)

I felt the same and tried changing to range of different size earbuds that were included but still no luck, ended up returning them.
