”Sony raises the bar for true wireless earbuds.” ’What Hi-Fi?’ 2019 award-winner.

Industry-leading noise cancellation
Featuring Sony’s HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1e, the WF-1000XM3s take noise cancelling effectiveness to new levels in such small headphones. The powerful processor not only cancels more noise across all frequencies but also does so using less power – helping to maximise battery life.

Sound precision with DSEE HX and 6mm drivers
DSEE HX upsamples compressed music files, giving them a fuller, richer sound. Using tiny, 6mm drivers inside the earphones, the WF-1000XM3 delivers a rich, clear and enveloping sound with whatever music or speech source you’re listening to.

Fine-tune the sound with Headphones Connect
Get the Sony Headphones Connect app (available on Apple iOS and Google) and you can fine-tune the sound to exactly how you like it. Ambient Sound Control lets you decide just how much background noise you hear while the equalizer tunes the sound output to your exact preferences.

Adaptive Sound Control adjusts to you
Another feature available via the Headphones Connect app is Adaptive Sound Control. This detects whether you’re walking, traveling or stationary and then adjusts the ambient sound settings to suit – automatically.

Enhanced Bluetooth connection
The latest Bluetooth chip delivers sound to both earbuds simultaneously, rather than from one to the other. This improves the music’s timing and keeps the earphones precisely in sync with the music or speech – especially handy when you’re watching videos. For a speedy connection with your smartphone, the WF-1000XM3 also features NFC (Near Field Communication). Simply tap the NFC-equipped phone against the headphone’s case and it's ready to go.

Amazon Alexa and Google voice assistants
Using the built-in microphone, the Sony WF-1000XM3 headphones are compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google’s voice Assistant. Simply press and hold the noise-cancelling button and ask your PA a question. The touch sensitive pad also lets you communicate more easily – simply hold the pad to instantly turn down the volume with Quick Attention.

Extended battery time with the charge case
Charged up, these tiny earphones now give you up to 8 hours music playback, with NC off. Switch on Noise Cancelling, and the playback time is up to 6 hours. Supplied with a charging case, once your headphones have run out of power, pop them in the case and within around 1.5 hours you’re all charged and ready to go. You can charge a further three times, giving you the potential for over 24 hours of music.

Secure and comfortable
Featuring ergonomic tri-hold structures, these earphones make three points of contact with your ear for a comfortable and secure fit. The high friction rubber surface also help in keeping the earbuds snug and the outside noise out.

Connect to award-winning sound on the move, with the Sony WF-1000XM3.

Why would the warranties stack? Surely they'd run concurrently
Lovely headphones, really enjoy using them, especially compared to my old Powerbeats Pro. That said, as with all wireless earphones in this segment, they're horribly overpriced.
These are great if you are sitting down or inside, I use them for Netflix on my iPad, the moment you go outside with these the wind noise becomes really annoying, they protrude too much, they sound fantastic but I’ve gone back to my usual combination of AirPods and Samsung buds, I highly recommend the Samsung buds for working out, very compact and good fit.
Great sounding earphones, great software, just didn’t like the way they looked. Returned for Cambridge Audio melemonas which are more discreet, sound as good (although no NC) and have longer battery. Cheaper too.

Had them returned them back they are too big and bulky for ear buds

Hardly rubbish.

Very good sound quality with a decent set of tips and some EQ work.

I however can't get them to stay secure for more than 30mins no matter what I try.

Had these for few months now, I would recommend to buy if you can accept some of the cons:

Pros:
*Best sounding wireless buds on the market right now
*Great fit with the multiple sizes of buds supplied in the box (try different ones!)
*Active noise cancelling which is best in class
*Big battery and long lasting playtime / charge time

Cons:
*Fidgety touch controls
*Bluetooth drop issues happening up to few times a day (however the drop would only last 2-3 seconds before the buds would re-connect automatically)
*The overall app/software user experience not as good as on Airpods
*The charging box is a bit bulky
*No waterproofing/water resistance
*Noisy when used outside - the protrude too much and the wind that rushes past them creates noise

Why, you're the one that suggested it.
Does anyone know when the deal ends? I want to hear a pair before buying but cant for a few days.
Still expensive, but a welcome and realistic reduction. I simply dislike the way they look and the fact that Sony decided against any IP rating....lack of onboard volume would have also been an issue, but I believe Sony has removed this issue through a software update.

Was looking at the Libratone track air+, but again cost was an issue. Finally decided to go with the Jabra 75t, as all the reviews were pretty much favourable and Amazon.es had them at a great price.

I have to say, the Jabra's are really good!!! Although they should have had ANC onboard like the libratones do.... In the quality and price area, the Jabra's came in at a level I was happy with at 116quid with next day delivery

Hope you all like my story

Thanks, interested in these. Very mixed reviews on here, but they won the What Hi-Fi Awards for 2019.
Does anyone know if you can use these with the Sony app on iWatch?
My review from amazon

Ive been experimenting with these for a day or so and have run into numerous issues even after the latest firmware update

The right earphone would suddenly stop working even though its charged at 100%. Happened many times not just once, had to take both earphones and put them back in to fix the issue

Bluetooth connection would suddenly disconnect on my iPhone XS.

Sound cackling even when set to reliable connection over quality in the app

Connected to TV via bluetooth frequently audio disconnects on one side. Sometimes left, sometimes right

Connection on TV Sound cackles and distorts. (Not an issue with the Airpods)

All in all a poor product would not recommend these at all. Stick with Airpods Pro for far more reliable connection. AVOID

Had these for a little while now, and I've been very impressed with the sound and noise cancelling; I use them mostly while on public transport. Prefer these to the airpod pros, which cost more and aren't as good with regards to noise cancelling. A big part of this can be down to fit, so your mileage may vary. These come with 7 pairs of ear tips, so you can mix and match, and remember: you might need a different size and depth for each ear. Touch controls work well, and can be customised through the app. Connection has been solid, mostly paired with an iphone.

They are laughing at the price you paid
I have them more than a month and all I can say is that I hear music like never before
also ANC is a very impressive and useful feature!
Yes They are expensive But to my opinion this are the best earphones I ever had.
I hope they last many years

I recently purchased the newly released Jabra 75t headphones. They don't have ANC but the quality is very good. Nice touch controls and the HearThrough function works really well.

They're well worth considering over purchasing these Sony ones.
For practicality reasons I’m looking at the airpods pro over these. It’s the size of the charging case. It’s not really pocket portable.
I’ve got these and would highly recommend - not sure if those experiencing issues have updated the software at all? There’s a Sony Connect App for these, and software updated fine on mine.

They’re brilliant in the office and when I’m out for walks - there is some wind noise but nothing that major to annoy you. You can mess about with the settings on the app to help with this. The app does automatically set the sound control based on whether you’re stationary/walking etc but this can be adjusted to meet your own needs.

Mine fit in jeans and joggers just fine. They're pocket portable but would protrude if wearing something extra skinny fit example.

I have returned mine - partly due to fit but also as didnt feel the NC was worth it - the passive NC (been shoved in your ear) seems to do most of the NC - although suppose I am comparing to their big brother, the WH1000XM3!

Anyway, re the fit, what I did find made an improvement is to stretch your ear by pulling back on the lobe with your other hand whilst inserting them - the opening widens, insert the bud, let go of lobe to 'grab' the bud. Still quite a weighty / large bud but it did help me. You can also stretch your lobe out by using the forefinger of the same hand as is holding the bud
Do they work with iwatch (sony app)?

Yea that's how I insert all my IEM's, they don't agree with my ears.. tries comply, triple flange, normal foam and silicon.. nothing seems hold. Worst thing is one went flying out on the tube the other day... I'll probably be selling mine and getting jabra 65t elite or go back to my chifi iem and convert to a BT setup
I have returned those:

* most of the noise cancelling was passive rather than active. Sony even recommend on the box/manual to try different ear buds/tips if noise cancelling is not optimal
* catching the wind when used outside
* occasional drop of signal between earphones

The sound quality was very good (for that type of device), but my Sony MX3 headphones are still much better at active noise cancelling.
the buds on these are huge. do they actually stay in your ear?
I've got some and although the sound quality is amazing on mobile there are quite a fewer downsides to these over the galaxy buds for example.

The sound quality and the noise cancelling are brilliant. Best I've heard on wireless earbuds, but the call quality is atrocious. It's just very crappy. If you're at home and it's quite, they can be ok, but I had many problems. Call quality is a hard one because people here have said they're fine so it's probably subjective to what you've heard before maybe or QA.

also a huge downside is that it had issues with connectivity on PC with Windows.. The quality is set to "hands free" mode even when selecting "stereo". It sound absolutely awful when set to this because it's used for phone calls. Some people have temporarily "fixed" this but it's hit and miss by installing a separate drive, and it wouldn't work for me.

Comparing these to the galaxy buds, I would definitely choose the buds. The sound quality isn't as good on the buds as it blackstar lot of bass but it makes up for it with the easy connectivity (have to hold both ear bud for 7 seconds on the Sony's but just open the case on the galaxy buds), the smaller form factor as the Sony ear buds pop out a lot and don't fit very well from some reviews, and the superior call quality.

If you're using these are just music on your phone and nothing else, then these are amazing. The noise cancellation is brilliant and almost as good as their headphones.
