Does anyone have first hand review of it from their own experience? I haven’t yet found a store where I can listen to them - Dixon’s and Currys both stock it but didn’t have a demo piece. Thanks a lot

I got the melodynes as a gym alternative and am very happy with them. When I heard the Sony's they're a class above. I'm after getting some permanently now.

Thanks a bunch. I did almost buy them at Dixon’s over the weekend at Heathrow, shame they didn’t have any on demo- think they were selling them for £179 so this is a pretty good price already
Had a pair yes they sound great but their way to large didn't sit right with my ears so I sent them back
Yeah. I e ordered so thanks OP. Heat.
I have had a pair for a couple of months and thunk they are great. Use at work for listening to music and for calling. I use in the gym and don’t have an issue with them falling out. Noise cancelling is great and batteries never drained on me.

There has been a software update and you can control the volume on the earbuds too.
Will they come down lower? I hope so.....they are large, but with the update, onboard volume control is a great addition. If only they were waterproof.....heated up Nd tha ks for posting

I've owned them. Decent enough sound and ANC but they have an annoying LED, no waterproofing, rather large and fit is very dependent on the tips so way too easy to displace, and bad wind noise.
I'm listening on those £10 Betron's and they're awesome.

John Lewis have some you can try
Anyone whos mentioning they dont have waterproof choose one:
-great noise cancelling and ambiemt sound
-waterproof

You cant get these too options together ofc You can buy other brand with waterproof and nc but its not same nc as in sonys.

I bought them few weeks ago from Sonycentre for 129f and they defo worth money. Working in laud enviroment with turret machines, laser, presses and there's huge difference between them and my old earbuds without nc. Defo recommend

Sound decent, galaxy buds sound similar if not better. Very uncomfortable imo and stick out of your ears a lot. Anc is ok but not better than air pod pros. Passive noise isolation is very prominent in Earphones so you don't really need anc and found that it made a rather small difference. Call quality is not that great, and I've had complaints that my voice is very echoey even in a quiet room.

Sennheiser momentum have much better sound but are equally as uncomfortable if not more. Decent call quality.

Air pod pros have better anc and are significantly more comfortable. However limited functionality and not the best sound.

Galaxy buds have the same/better sound, very comfortable and lightweight, minimalist design and doesn't stick out of your ears, find my ear buds option. Good noise isolation. However the charging case doesn't haven't the strongest magnets, so the ear buds do move around ever so slightly when the case is open, and if you face them upside down and shake them then they'll fall out.

I haven't tried the Jabra Elite 75t but have heard that they are fantastic, basically a slightly improved version of the galaxy buds.

I can't comment on the call quality of the galaxy buds or others since I haven't tried calls with them.

Overall I wouldn't recommend them. If you really want anc (you don't need it compared to over ear headphones since the passive noise isolation blocks out 70-80% of the sound in Earphones, the anc adds maybe 5-10%), then get the air pod pros. Sennheiser momentum have the best sound but are as uncomfortable and for me they're un-wearable. Jabra elite 75t are the best overall ear buds imo but if you're on a budget you can get the galaxy buds for £85 after cashback using student discount.
Had Airpods for over two and a half years and moved to these.

Sound quality wise these are a lot better, they're not even comparable really in that department, this destroys the Airpods. Battery life seems good if not on par, rarely have to charge the case despite using them for a few hours a day. Noise cancelling is a nice feature but isn't great, not to the standard of the high-end overear ones.

Now for the bad things, the case is a lot bigger than the Airpods but still decent enough to carry around in your pocket. Unfortunately, these are also quite big in the ear and despite not being uncomfortable, they do sort of look like hearing aids (had three people tell me that already in two months).

AirPods Pro have a basic IPX4 rating along with somewhat better ANC and *MUCH* better ambient/passthrough mode.

Fab stuff - thanks a lot for the detailed comparison and review
Any audio / video sync issues with these on an iPhone. I briefly tried some before at Dixons travel and on Netflix on my iPhone they were out of sync so I didn’t end up buying them as didn’t have long enough for a more extensive test.

On that point they are excellent. No lag whatsoever so far using an iPad, Android phone and through my Shield TV

No worries, just trying to give people an easier time to find the best ear buds for them than I did. I've cycled through way too many headphones and ear buds but I think I'm gonna stick with galaxy buds for now until I try out the Jabra Elite 75t. The galaxy buds are definitely the most comfortable ear buds I've tried.
Thanks.Just reordered and am sending back my unopened £196 pair. Don’t know why Amazon don’t just refund the difference. Ho hum...at least they offered free return postage.

Better anc? Tested them and for me apples anc is similar to passive anc nothing extra but its just my opinion after testing "only" ~6 different earbuds (sony, apple, bose, jabra, creative and cheapy xiaomi) in my opinion sony plays much better (similar to bose) but boses are huge and uncomfortable to wear, creatives sitting best but no anc but apple? For me worst maybe cus I am ex apple fanboy

The ANC on Sony's fullsize headphones is the best out there. But for IEMs I preferred the AirPods Pro ANC as it seems to respond faster and the Sonys would amplify wind, fans, A/C, and so on. Bose, Jabra, Creative and Xiami don't have "true wireless" earphones with ANC. I don't actually care too much about ANC but it's useful when most of these don't allow for very deep insertion and it does provide the equipment needed for transparency/passthrough modes which are nice.

I've used more than half a dozen myself. Currently the AirPods Pro are my main preference with Jaybird Vista as a backup/sport option because those stay in even when doing aerial circus and gymnastics.

LOL

I love tinfoil hatters.

Bluetooth is very low power non-ionizing radiation. It cannot harm you.
Please distinct yourself from branding me a hater. I’m on high vibration, predominately Love frequency. Low energies does not transmit trough my Aura.

As for the Bluetooth, actually it does. If you wear once a day for 10 minutes, then you are kind to yourself. Otherwise, you are more hater to your own 3D vehicle you name a physical body.

Peace.

I've had these since launch and absolutely love them. Was a huge expense for me and was definitely worried I'd be running into some buyers' remorse but haven't looked back since. Head and shoulders above the Powerbeats Pro I used them to replace.

Feel free to ask any questions you have about them.
I bought these last week when the £129 deal was on, they aren't as comfortable as the RHA trueconnect I had, however still comfy enough and refuse to budge, but sound wise (once you tinker with the app to get it right) they trump pretty much all the other ones i've had (jabra elite 65t, samsung iconx, samsung buds, bose soundsport free).

The ANC, considering the size and the fact they are true wireless, is brilliant. Its not going to beat the over ears but certainly gives a pretty damn good go. However its totally dependant on what tips you pick, and these come with loads of sets, so easy to find the right ones.

Another great option is the 360 audio from the likes of tidal and deezer. Very limited tracks at the moment, but the sound is incredible.

Have had them from release. They are amazing. I have Bose qc25 and qc35. These along with the new update are perfect. Can't recommend enough.
In ear ones cancel much, often too much, of the noise anyway.

I also find the sound(bass mainly) varies depending on how they fit.

Thanks, I've placed an order

Going to compare these to the Tronsmart Spunky Beats that I ordered and see what wins (bang for buck). I want to understand whether ANC really does make a difference and whether that difference is big enough for me to overlook the lack of AptX.

Make sure you're using AAC because SBC is awful.
