This is because you have not linked the media volume with the earphone …This is because you have not linked the media volume with the earphone volume on you phone. I think the option is in the bluetooth settings depending on your android version.

Thanks for your message, prompted me to download the Sony Headphones app and change one of the earphones touch control to do volume. I then cranked up the volume and it's as loud on my P20 Pro as my iPhones.

Anyone else got these?
I find on Android they are almost whisper quiet but on iOS they are a decent volume...
How does this differ from the cheapo qcr or chinese variants of variants
noise cancellation on chinese is just hisssss. For example this will automatically detect when you are on a aircraft and adjust noise cancellation accordingly.

Great on android, however you need to link the headphone volume, install the app for this device, and you will notice major difference.

You can get round this by going into developer options and disabling absolute volume.
I also find I can increase volume on the buds further even if media volume is at maximum

Bought them a few days ago. Impressive noise cancelling, decent volume (iPhone). Only used them for a few hours so far and had occasional drop out so will keep an eye on that.
Feel comfortable enough. Knew they would come down in price as soon as I bought them.
For Android users turn the music app volume to the max, you need to be in the app, thereafter from the lock screen or mobile or earphone volumes are to be used.

It’s annoying, I find when I use an external mobile DAC the same
Is anybody using these for calls? I use my airpods for calls most of the day and they've been great but are getting a bit tired and battered.

Thinking of getting these if they are on par with airpods for call quality.
A new firmware update came out a few days ago. It improves the call quality quite significantly.

I bought the shop return ones from Sony Centre for £129 and they looked like they were new. How much did you pay for yours?
These or PowerBeats Pro?

£178. Once I want something I can't hold myself back from waiting for a better deal. Ah well

These or PowerBeats Pro?

I've bought both, waiting for Powerbeats to turn up in a few days. Sony is better in every way except Powerbeats have waterproof rating and won't fall off at the gym.
The Sonys have noise cancelling, smaller case, better sound quality, better app.
I'm really impressed by the Sony and am wondering whether I'll use the Powerbeats.

If you asked these or AirPods Pro I'd struggle to answer as definitively.

Worth it IMO
So overall, these, or airpods pro? The price is not main thing
Ok so I have Sony XM1000 the over ear and in ear but neck band, also recently punted the Anker True Wireless (very poor) and also the Samsung latest Earbuds (good but poor bass).

These XF Sonys when you set the music app to 100% and then either use the Sony app or set say the left bud to control volume are bloody loud, so those complaining of absolute volume with Android should do this.

SQ shame it is not LDAC and only AAC, but the sound is very good, easily the best of the true wireless earbuds and the bass is deep and good, for sure it is not pounding super deep.

The buds are big and require this twist the push them into your ear canal, not sure after longer listening how comfortable they are.

Not tried calls but I have found every music type headset poor.

The Sony 360 is weird I dont like it and content via Tidal is very poor.

Tidal also has Dolby Atmos content.
Are these still not cheaper at Amazon spain at €190 / £161. Why not buy from there?
This is £20 more than other sellers.
im so torn.

do i get these for £129
the sennheiser momentum true wireless for £140
Galaxy buds for £70
Jaybird Vistas for £100

for me comfort is important and i mostly use them for music and podcasts (no movies)

I almost bought these, however I decided to try the Echo buds, I am quite happy with them, they fit well and I compared them with my QC35's and whilst not quite as good they are certainly good enough.

I have the sony and they are comfortable enough, but you do notice them. Had loads over the passed few years but the RHA trueconnect were the most comfortable.

Brilliant to be fair. Up there with the best of them. Only down side is there is no app, so no firmware updates or ability to manipulate the sound on the earphones.

Also, they were down to £99.95 just before xmas, back up to £150 now

Finding noise noise canceling is pretty poor even playing with ear tips.

How did you manage to get these at this price? I’ve had a look and they’re showing up as 199 on the website

They are customer returns mate they are in the clearance section. It gets refreshed every Thursday so you'll have to wait a couple of days.
I think the price of these Sony's may have been dropped as a result of Technics' announcement of their EAH-AZ70W in-ear headphones (using Graphene infused drivers) at CES which picked up a lot of positive press.

Literally just ordered a pair!
THEY KEEP FALLING OUT, good luck gyming with them. Only good thing is their durable and the sound is amazing. Your QOL won't improve tho since they fall out every 5 minutes.

This is what I’m worried about, the gyming aspect. I currently have AirPods that are sealed and not used, but worried that they will sound similar to my wipes EarPods without much difference in sound quality

They aren't a gym earphone. They have no IP rating, so if your earphones got damaged by sweat, you wouldn't be covered by the warranty.

Secondly from what I've read in various reviews is that the Sony xm3s have very good audio - often mentioning them to be superior in audio quality to the airpods and that the noise cancelling is second to none, bettered only by over ear headphones.

If you want gym earphones, I'd buy something with a hydrophobic coating and at least an IPX5 rating. Anker earphones are often on sale and you can snag a pair for £15-20 (no noise cancelling though)

I've had mine for months and never had them fall out. In fact the are pretty much lodged in most of the time.
