Industry leading noise cancellation

Noisy trains, coffee shop chatter, roaring traffic – shut it all out with the Sony WF-1000XM4 Wireless Bluetooth Noise-Cancelling Earbuds. You'll be able to focus on your podcast, appreciate every note of your music, or just enjoy the peace and quiet.

This isn't just any old noise-cancelling – you can control which sounds you want to block out. Eliminate the chatter without missing your platform announcement. Or enhance the ambient sound to have a chat while the music automatically pauses.

Exceptional sound quality

The lack of outside noise combined with Hi-Res Audio Wireless means you're in for a treat every time you put the WF-1000XM4 in. The 6 mm drivers deliver rich and clear sound with a wide range and minimal distortion thanks to the integrated V1 processor.

Take control

With Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa just a tap away you can leave your phone in your pocket. You can ask them to play music, make phone calls, turn up your smart thermostat and much more – just ask. You can also use touch control to skip track, change the volume or control the noise cancelling.

And you can even have 2 devices connected at the same time. So when a call comes in, your headphones know which device is ringing and connects to the right one automatically.

Stay charged

To see you through your daily commute or study hours, the WF-1000XM4 Earbuds offer up to 8 hours playback. To give them a boost between uses, simply pop them back in the charging case. It holds additional 16 hours of charge – that's 24 hours combined.

Secure fit

Comfort is important – that's why these Sony earphones have a secure fit that are designed to stay put wherever you go. And with IPX4 water resistance you don't have to be afraid of sweat or splashing water.

Can you return for refund after testing if not suitable...? Not sure about hygiene rules etc after use.

I asked before buying a pair of over ears a while back if they kept falling off and they said no due to hygiene, only return if faulty.

So tempting… are we thinking this is the best price they’ll be across Black Friday?

If you're willing to get Currys vouchers and get a £1ish from TCB too, you could bring it to below £150 (maybe £146 if you get vouchers from nowhere better than TCB), and I can't see any retailers in UK going lower than that in this current sale. (edited)

I’ve had these for just over a month. The foam tips take some getting used to, but after a couple of weeks they fit just fine. Great earphones, heat added.

Great price. Best noise cancelling on market, I've read

    These or AirPod pros?

I am in the same boat. Had a look at this review Tom's Guide which had them both scoring similar but said the Sony edged it on sound and noise cancelling quality, Air pods on call quality. Overall 87%vs 86% to the Sony. Given the price difference I think I’ll be opting for the Sony ones.

£159 seems to be the current sale price on the Internet (e.g. Amazon, Sony, Very, John Lewis). Personally I'd
You could take a chance on the cashback and get this slightly cheaper than the £154 shown here. For example, TCB is showing Very with 4% cashback for new customers and you get the bonus of not buying from Currys.

I'm just trying these out for first time having bought from Amazon. My main gripe with buds is them working loose while at the gym. These seem as though they will stay in, but I will give them a proper go tomorrow, so fingers crossed. They are on the large side though. (edited)

is the extra price worth it over the XM3's?

I've been looking to buy some earbuds for ages now. Watched some YT vids and these seem to be a great bit of tech. Looking forward to trying out the custom gestures and seeing how the transparency mode works.
They do seem to be a bit bulky in your ears. I very rarely sleep with earbuds in but that could be an issue if I wanted to. Hopefully they stay firm in my ears while running too.
Purchased for £154. Hoping I don't see them lower till the new year! Heat added

Be very careful with these, I bought one and when you listen to anything that's not music, you get a tinny vibration sound. Apparently this is a common issue so test them immediately

£130 if you're OK with using Amazon Spain...
