  • High performance dual noise sensor microphones
  • 6mm driver unit
  • Noise Isolation Earbud Tips
  • Minimizing wind noise

An exceptional listening experience that's tailored just for you. The WF-1000XM4 truly wireless headphones take advanced noise canceling and audio quality to the next level. Made to fit every ear, they offer a personalized experience that adjusts to every situation.

Industry-leading noise cancellation – now even better
Everything in the WF-1000XM4 headphones has been designed from the ground up. Like our new Integrated Processor V1, specially developed by Sony, that cancels more noise than ever, a new driver unit with more performance, noise sensing microphones, and innovative Noise Isolation Earbud Tips with a more stable fit.

High performance dual noise sensor microphones
Two noise sensing microphones per ear – one feed-forward and one feed-back – on the surface of the headphones catch more of the ambient sounds of your surroundings, whether it’s in-flight noise, city traffic or office chatter.

New 6mm driver unit
A newly designed 6mm driver unit, featuring a 20% increase in magnet volume and the high compliance diaphragm, gives you improved performance in low frequencies. It also enhances noise cancelling by generating a high-precision cancellation signal to the low frequency range.

Noise Isolation Earbud Tips
Newly developed Noise Isolation Earbud Tips feature a unique polyurethane foam material. Soft and elastic, it maximises the surface contact area between the earbud tip and the ear canal, eliminating gaps to insulate sound and reduce noise. It also improves adhesion to the ear canal for a more stable fit, making the WF-1000XM4 headphones easy to wear.

Minimising wind noise
Even on windy days you’ll stay totally immersed. Automatic Wind Noise Reduction mode detects when it’s windy and automatically suppresses it.

Hear more of what’s around you
In Ambient Sound mode, the WF-1000XM4 headphones capture more of the sound around you than ever before, which means you get a more natural listening experience and stay connected to your environment.

Anyone take these over bose QC2's .
Trying to decide which ones are best.
At least bose let you have on approval for 90 days to decide.
    Doubt Sony will TBH?

You've probably just had a near-miss. They are GBP 159 on Amazon and John Lewis today.

Excellent buds at a very good price ♨️

Personally disliked the fit of these as they made my ear ache after a short period of usage.

Great earphones, also got a multipoint update about to be released for them which will make them even better.

Wow just bought these and didn't know about this! What a great bonus. It's the only feature they are missing

With the recent release of the Bose QC Earbuds II, it's surprising the WF-1000XM4 would retail for around £199 at the moment. One can only speculate prices have crept up to allow impressive looking discounts on Black Friday. I'm planning to stick to my WF-1000XM3 until a better price comes along. (edited)

There is **some** genuine good deals out there, but this is the case for the majority of BF deals tbh. Retailers only have to have sold an item at whatever price they say it's reduced from for something like 15 days to be allowed to say it's got a huge discount. I don't think it even has to have been all stores.

That said I bought these at full price @£250 when they first released so for me, this is a great price for a fantastic set of buds.

Good reduction but personally I really disliked them! Sent them back and got the Kef MU3's and Technics eah-az60's instead....

Wearing the Kef's right now, and they are so comfortable

Had these about a year. Really like them in the ear. The case feels a bit rubbish and they should get multipoint soon!

They do need some manual EQ tweaks though

These are brilliant! Really worth the money. Great for running too - just the right amount of noise cancelling and easy to use controls. Battery lasts well too

Can I add them to your contract tho? 😘😘

I managed to snag these on ebay for £150, could hardly find them below £170. This is a great deal, I wonder if my student discount could push it down further?

Is it a decent upgrade over the xm3's? The pair I got for £60-odd not long ago is still going strong but wondering if these are significantly better.
    Avatar
If you're reasonably happy with your current pair, I would suggest using them as long as the batteries last or you get a real itch to try something new.

If unhappy for some reason then these are worth trying from Amazon UK at the moment, easy return if you don't get on with them.

Main improvements are noise cancellation (but xm3 is still better than a lot of other earbuds in this respect) and size of buds and case. Sound quality too apparently (haven't heard xm3 to be able to give opinion) but more important is if you are happy with your current sound. (edited)

For anyone that bought these on add to plan, check your bill carefully. They have added them at £18 per month instead of £16 and it has taken nearly an hour for customer services to admit their mistake
    Avatar
Anyone who bought from EE is probably better off cancelling within the 14 day online cooling off period and buying them cheaper today, unless the payment plan is required to afford.

Superb earbuds. The sound that these produce is incredible. I have added some SpinFit CP360s to them which has improved the sound even more.
  18. Avatar
I've got these... Not doubting the performance but can't get on with the earbuds no matter which size I choose. Just can't seem to get a good fit and as a result affects the noise cancelling. I've come from wired Bose Quietcomfort 20 and these tips fitted perfectly for me... Anyone recommend replacemt tips that are like Bose ones?
    Avatar
Have you used the tip fit checker in the app? What does it say?

Are you squeezing the tips when you put them in?
  19. Avatar
    Same here.
  20. Avatar
Are these better than AirPods Pro 2, for anyone whom has both?
    Avatar
I would watch some in-depth YouTube comparisons and articles to answer this properly.
  21. Avatar
I had bought a pair of these and couldn't get on with the memory foam ear tips, bought some pvc replacements and much better, I keep finding that the noise cancelling keeps turning itself off sometimes and they disconnect from Bluetooth alot but that might be my device doing it not the earbuds
  22. Avatar
no aptx adaptive is a deal breaker
    Avatar
It has LDAC which is better.......
  23. Avatar
I hardly notice the difference between these very expensive buds and decent midrange under 50, and considering they get easily lost I will stick to my cheap buds
  24. Avatar
These any better than the Soundcore Anker P2?
  25. Avatar
I got them on Amazon Spain for about £140,
And they are amazing. Wear them mostly in the gym and the noise cancelling is amazing. Not as great for running I've found, does have a setting for wind noise reduction but still don't find them amazing in that situation but any other time they're brilliant. (edited)
