I'm currently looking into headphones for my son and these seem to be one of the consistent top recommendations for anyone wanting bluetooth and noise cancellation.

At £275.99 they're considerably cheaper than other retailers with the rrp of £329 ish.

I've no idea what this retailer is like either but figured it worth posting given the price.

Obviously these are TOP END hence the price - personally I use a pair of £20 in-ear headphones but for audiophiles out there wanting top end hopefully this is a deal.

Hmm make sure that this retailer entitles you to UK warranty (will need to check with Sony) as the hinge cracking issue persists with this model.

It's a good price but not sure if I'd be willing to buy a fairly expensive item from eGlobal central, esp with regard to faults, warranty, returns etc. Personally I'd spend the extra and buy from JL or similar.

Try Plantronics Back Beat Pro 2. I was considering Sony and Bose but finished with Plantronics and I'm very happy. Best price is £180 for Plantronics and there are 3 years warranty as well

I have the previous version of these headphones - purchased as refurb from Sony directly for £189. Was able to add a 5 year warranty for £18 - which is definately worth it. First pair I received had a rattling sound from the left cup. 2nd pair had a crack across the hinge. 3rd pair seems OK fingers crossed.

I would def opt for a extended warranty and purchase from somewhere you can get easy warranty support. Try the Sony store in Enfield (if youre near london). Really helpful (Sanjay/Sandip) and you dont have to go in person - they will post it out after paypal or bacs transfer. They are slightly more than sony online, but online rarely has stock and is always in black.

I'm currently looking into headphones, better if you listen to them? Or they like these..

I'm actually quite pleased with the KitSound Immersive ones that were on here a few days ago. Less than £40 (instead of £65) with the code the OP provided. I'm sure the Sony ones are better, but the KS are pretty good. It's amazing when you switch them on without any music playing, the background noise you've gotten used to over the years is suddenly gone, very clever!

Had the original Backbeat Pro's, which were brill!! Then gave then to my bro because I'm nice.....moved to the JBL Everest Elite 700's, which were atrocious....really bad build quality and lasted 6 months :0( I've always wanted the Sony's but simply cannot justify spending that much on a single pair of cans. Just ordered the fiil diva and fiil wireless (iicons)...I must also have ANC.....reviews etc suggest a brill headphone with many great features. Aliexpress appears to sell them the cheapest via an official fiil seller..seller on Amazon increased the price by a hundred odd quid!!...Just a heads up. The Sony's are lush though....not sure about eglobal though....should I be equally worried about the order I placed via Aliexpress???? Thanks for posting:0)

Has anyone tried the new earbuds? The active noise cancelation finally has me tempted.

Want the totally wireless buds so can where around house unencumbered. But at these prices also want them to double up for the plane/general travel and would want noise cancelling for that. Which rules the Apple buds out.

This. Warranty is so important with these. I had the last pair of Sony headphones MDR-1000x which had the headband cracking issue. I received mine as a gift so have no proof of purchase. Sony told me to b*gger off unless I had proof of purchase, even though they admitted it was a design/manufacturing fault. I'd usually say that extended warranties aren't worth it, but in this case, they are.
