Yes, with very good condition it is a good chance they would be unopened.

Varies between brand new with damaged packaging, to imperfect customer returns, to complete and utter junk.

I've personally received faulty tablets, laptops with half a dozen dead pixels, games without the actual disc and various other crap from warehouse deals. There are bargains to be had if you're lucky.

Not worth it for a 20% saving IMO

100 X better or £100 better
Seems a great price couldn’t decide between these and the Bose QC35ii but this price has tipped me. Also feel happier not selling out to the “overpriced” Bose...Sony are saints yeh...!? heat added
I had a shot of the Bose QC35 last week and thought they were fantastic, but haven’t had a shot of these. I want a pair of ANC headphones for a long solo flight in two weeks. For use with an iPhone so AptX isn’t on my feature list.

I’d set the budget at £200 so the Bose was too much unless a deal pops up.

Someone help, the research is driving me mental! What should I buy? Is it worth waiting on loads of Bose appearing on eBay from the P20 deals or will that not be until May?

both are excellent, but I thought the sonys edged it. You'll be happy with either.

Go for these. I have had mine since December and love them.

The only place I think the Bose are better, is in the comfort in wearing them. They are very light and feel soft on your ears.

Not saying that the Sony's are uncomfortable, it's just that the Bose are more comfortable.

Sound quality and Noise Cancelling are supposed to be better on these.

I have these and my son has the Bose. I bought Sony due to the excellent reviews, some sites saying that the noise cancelling had surpassed Bose, but I'm no audiophile so I'm not qualified to comment on that. The gesture controls on the sides of these headphones are excellent, especially cupping your hand over the side to temporarily hear what is going on around you. I have to say though that the Bose are more comfortable. I don't consider myself to have Dumbo ears (maybe I have ) but I can feel the insides of the earpieces against my ears, whereas with the Bose I can't. Both have their advantages and disadvantages, but as a previous poster commented, I'm sure that you'll be very happy with both.

Wh-h900 are really decent
used headphones? is free earwax included?
yuck!
Gesture contro and activity recognition sounds horrible. I bought a pair of expensive Sennheisers to replace my existing Sennheisers because they were cordless. They were a nightmare. I had to wave my hands over parts of the earphones. They were supposed to activate when I used them. Did they? There was no led. There was only one actual button. Sometimes they spoke (in an annoying cockney accent). Sometimes they worked wirelessly, sometimes they didn't and I had to use a physical connection. Eventually I gave them away.
Anyway, they were big enough to properly enclose my ears. Headphones which touch my ears get painful quickly, I find

It's not. It's absolutely brilliant and works perfectly.

Well it didn't on my Sennheisers as I said, you never knew where you were
liking these but they are bit leaky sound wise - not sure you could wear them in an office or on a long flight (cabled) without annoying others. Need to read more about the gesture control - thanks to poster above about cupping your ear to mute - genius. 2 weak spots so far are sound leakage and possibly comfort - they feel like they might get quite hot on prolonged listening. Sound's v good though.
Thanks to others for their comments. I found a brand new pair of Bose QC35 M-ii’s on eBay for just over £200, just went for it.

Had had another shot in curry’s with their sonos range blasting close by and was amazed at the depth of sound on the Bose. The Sony’s just didn’t do the same for me. Of course it’s all about personal preference otherwise life would be boring.

I’m now a happy “spoiled” chappy with a pair of Bose QC35’s and Apple AirPods. There’s better in ear options for sounds quality than the AirPods, but I find comfort and how easily they work with iPhone to outweigh this for me.
My sony wh1000xm2 makes static noise when in ambient sound mode or quick attention mode. is this normal?
no, not normal
Just a received a very good condition pair of these. They cost me £218 including delivery paid with Revolut card. They look brand new, I couldn't find any sign to show that the box has been opened before.
