Nice
FYI. These are refurbished models
Refurbished models are products returned to Sony under the following circumstances: change of mind, faulty out of box, box damage or minor cosmetic imperfections. These products will be fully tested and repaired where necessary by an authorised repair centre. Whilst many of these products will be in as good as new condition, we cannot guarantee refurbished products sold will be delivered in the original packaging and may have minor cosmetic imperfections such as scratches, marks or discoloration. Sony offers 2 types of refurbished product, Grade A and Grade B. Grade B products may have more significant imperfections than Grade A (and may have been used for more than 500 hours) and are priced accordingly. All refurbished products (Grade A and B) have a 12 month warranty.

As it states in the description.
Only rumours but XM4s could be announced at CES 2020 which is in January. There was an FCC filing for them on December 15th. Obviously will be much more expensive than these XM3s though!

As it states in the description.

Main title needs to say it.
You know there's no point ever listing these. They only have one or two, by the time you click they are gone! Oos already
Good deal. Misleading title not stating they're refurbs
Bazza7123/12/2019 22:12

No it doesn't.

It does. It needs to state they're refurbs or it's misleading.
They are currently £188 on Eglobal and £181 at Toby Deals.

I'm sure these were about £210 new not long ago. Maybe cheaper.. Knocking £30 off for basically second hand is not a fair price imo.
Got mine from here at the beginning of the year. Very happy. Was also able to get curry’s to price match some Chinese company and get a brand new pair for 185 with 6 months Spotify.

Second hand means someone else has used them.
These are unused returns, according to the description.

If unused, why was it refurbished?

Many returns are just sold as referbs, it's like amazon warehouse deals

If they're unused though, aren't they new?

Could distributor returns, brought at store and returned unopened etc.

From everything I've heard the grade A returns here are usually next to pristine.

Fair enough mate but if they're unopened then they've not been refurbished.

I bought some of these very recently.

They came with “refurbished” taped all around the box.

Within a couple of days I had the dreaded hissing ear cup of death, which is a known problem.

So mine are going back - I guess to be refurbished, and sold on again.

The pair I received were definitely not pristine/unopened as they absolutely stank of cigarette smoke. So bad I had to get rid of them.
How do you know if your buying the grade A or B items?
I would personally not buy refurb due to hygiene but these headphones are the king right now.

Best investment I ever made.

With Sony jacking the price up on these refurbs recently, I just don't think they are a great deal at £190, especially when brand new ones pop up frequently for not much more.
Edited by: "jaybizzle" 24th Dec 2019
Shocking deal, unless you want to buy used faulty products - rehashed as refurbs. The brand new price is so close, you would be mad to buy these. Who the.....is voting these hot?

As far as I can see it doesn't state whether these are grade A or B. Seller's desc says grade B may have been used up to 500 hours. Hardly unused!
JL are selling these new for £239 with a 2yr guarantee. That'd be my choice.
Voted cold.
Does anyone know whether these are a grade A or Grade B refurb?
I got these a while ago at the same price from Sony Centres Direct, and they were immaculate. Absolutely fantastic headphones and far far better than the Bose QC35s I returned to replace with these. The QC35s were a fraction more comfortable, but that was the only aspect where they were better.
You can get the same headphones new for £187.14 from e global central. Arrived in 7 working days, no problems.

The "A" at the end of the model number means grade A:
