This is the best price I have ever seen for these, so very tempted. I'm wondering if a new model is due out though.

New model won't be out till next summer
These are fantastic headphones, and a great price. Hot.
Highly recommended these. This is the cheapest UK supplied price I've seen.
Excellent headphones
Nothing was announced at IFA 2019 regarding a new model of these.

Not sure why they would just yet, as these are still the best ANC headphones on the market currently,

Sorry my mistake these came out ifa 2018, yeah there maybe new model next year, this year at IFA no new model, so maybe spring time
Ordered and there is 6gbp bonus if you top-up your account with 80gbp or more
Decisions, decisions! I can get 8% off this price if Curry’s will price match Amazon, which takes them down to £229. Or do I risk it and wait for Black Friday?? :/
I've an older pair of these that have been great for a while now. I've thought about getting the new model simply because it charges via USB C and the older version are micro USB. However when I took a closer look I noticed the port is on the top of the ear cup facing up. Now I know this isn't a supported use case but I wear mine in almost all weather including a bit of rain and they've been fine, mainly because the USB port is on the bottom facing down. Call me cynical but I wonder if Sony made the change to port facing up to sell more pairs.

Edit: Someone below as pointed out that I'm mistaken. The open ports on the ear cups facing up are the microphones for the noise cancelling. I'm not sure if these would be as susceptible to rain as a USB C port however they definitely appear more susceptible than the grill designs on the previous generations.

To wait for Black Friday or not ....
That five-month 0% installment plan pushed me over the edge. Looking forward to living that noise-cancelling life for the first time! Heat from me!
I own the MDR1000X from 2 years ago and still working like the first day, I use them everyday while commuting and also at home. Best headphones I ever used and the noise cancelling just blows your mind. Getting this ones as the price is a bargain. I'll gift my current ones to my brother.

That's a microphone not a USB port. Port is on the bottom of the ear cup
Could these be connected to a 3.5mm jack for listening to movies on flights , or are they purely wireless ?
Thanks.

They come with a cabled attachment as well, and also a plane adapter.

These are not USB C ports, they are microphones. The USB C port is at the bottom like all other headphones
Just got my headphones and I'm a bit disappointed. They don't sound that good, my KZ ES4 sound a lot better, and when I set EQ they change Bluetooth to lowest codec. Not saying that they sound bad, but for that price I expected A LOT more. Noise cancelling is good, nothing mind-blowing (found some information that with new update it's worse, mine are on newest soft, so I can't tell).
Overall 5/10, I'm going to send them back.

On the left ear cup there's an open USB C port facing upwards. Google image search if you don't believe me.

Edit. I completely retract this comment. The open upwards facing ports are indeed the microphones. They don't have the grilled designs on the previous models. Sorry Minas.

You have to be kidding. Go to somewhere like John Lewis and try these on along with all other headphones. These by far are the best noise cancelling and stop background noise almost completely. The music quality is excellent and these I found were the most comfortable.
Currys have this for the same price, so John Lewis should price match with 2-year warranty. Someone mentioned you can extend the warranty to 5 years with Sony, anyone got any info about that?
