Well that's part of total cost of £232 so why complaining
Is the ANC any good on these? I've got a pair of Sennheiser Momentum cans but I was considering selling them and picking up these or the Bose QC35
I wonder if they say Accensione (power on) Spegni (power off)

I've tried them all, and these are the best. Just Like having your eardrums ripped out.

Subjective I guess. 20 hours has never done me any harm and never in my life folded a pair of cans.
Great headphones. I honestly don't think they could be more comfortable, with the advantage of cancelling out the wife's voice. Hope she doesn't read this..

I went from the old v1 wired overear Sennheiser Momentums to the XM2s last year for office use and have been very happy with the switch. Much more comfortable as I used to get a hotspot at the top of my head with the senns after using them for over an hour so I needed to adjust them alot. The ANC has been a lot better and more useful than i expected too.
_Tris_22/06/2019 13:33

Any idea on release date

They usually come out around September or so.

Ah, you're one of them...
286 euros now
Seems crazy how often they update these.

Never known a yearly product refresh for headphones, if that's how frequently the new versions come out.

Wish they had larger earcups. Too small for me unfortunately.

Only really suitable for small and medium ears for extended use.

Looks like these don't support aptX low latency.

And no bluetooth multi point still.

And no usb passthrough right? As in, you can't connect a usb cable to your computer or phone for lossless transmission and using the onboard DAC.

I can do that with my Definitive Technology Symphony 1s - although I must admit I haven't done it for ages.

Nice to be able to do that though, with FLAC files.

The XM4s need to at least have aptX low latency and bluetooth multi point.
Seems a major ommision given they're meant to be all in one headphones, and given modern usage - e.g. switching between laptop and phone, and watching movies on your laptop or tablet etc.
These won't be much good for that.

No aptX-LL sadly.

There's no way of switching between aptX-HD and aptX (for latency reasons) at the headphone side as far as I know either, which is a pain. I'm still on a look out for some decent aptX-LL ANC headphones at an affordable price

You can put a price alert on these using Keepa or 3 camels:
amazon.co.uk/Def…3I/

That's what I have.

They were as low as around £108 last year.

Discontinued now. Their first headphone effort.

Large earcups, the best option for large ears.

Very spatial sound, with excellent soundstage.

The bass is a bit warmer and less sharp than the Momentum Wireless.

AptX LL, bluetooth multipoint (I can listen to music on my laptop and receive an incoming call on my phone - and play music off my phone with no effort).

The headband is a bit short. I have to fully extend the arms, but I have a large ish head.

They don't fold and are more bulky.

Battery life and ANC not as good as Sonys or Bose.

You can connect a USB cable and use the onboard DAC too.

So very flexible.

Their sound quality is arguably the best, but I've not fully tried all the latest offerings.

If you want really punchy bass forward headphones they're not the best option.

No probs. No one seems to know about them.

Always on the look out for good ANC over ear headphones, but nothing has really supplanted them for me yet.

The Bose didn't even support AptX before (and sounded poor).

If you get the Symphony 1s for £160 or so that would be a very good buy I'd say. I paid £300 getting them from Amazon US years ago.

Seen them cheap on eBay before too. But I'd get them from Amazon given they're discontinued, so you can easiily get them replaced or refunded if you have any issue.
Need little help guys, looking for a nice high end headphones, Dont like beats (over rated)
Sony or bose?
This or qc35?
Xm4 or bose 700?
More drawn to bose but not a experienced person in sound just like a nice pair. Which i can use for fee years and they dont look out dated.

Edit: i am iPhone user with no plan to change to android any time soon.

It's coming up as GBP 269.41 for me...

Am I misreading the thread? I assumed it meant £232 with regular card or £223 with fee free card. I don't have a fee free card and don't really want to apply for one just for one purchase.

Amazon's prices can fluctuate more frequently than daily even.

The price has likely gone up.
Guys - don't buy anything from Amazon Italy - I bought something recently for over £100 from Amazon Italy and it has been an absolute nightmare as there was something wrong with it. The manufacturer wouldn't deal with the issue and said I had to deal with Amazon. Amazon UK wouldn't deal with the issue AT ALL and refused to send me a new replacement saying I had to deal with Amazon Italy. Amazon Italy couldn't even speak English and it was a total nightmare trying to deal with them. They would not send me out a replacement item and offered me a small discount if I kept the faulty item (which was not only faulty, scratched and clearly used but also had missing parts, including missing remote control) or said I would have to return it to their warehouse in Italy and they would process a refund once received. They would not even allow me to return it to Amazon UK and I couldn't deal with Amazon UK at all. This is total BS. The price had gone back up aswell so a refund wouldn't have allowed me to buy a replacement. They refused to cover the costs of me just buying the missing parts. Do NOT buy anything expensive or anything you may need to return from Amazon Italy or any other Amazon country if you are buying from the UK - Amazon UK should be dealing with returns/replacements/customer services but they REFUSE to help. I will never buy anything of value again from any other Amazon country's site.

For those wondering about the new Bose 700, they don't even have AptX support!

I've got to say, Bose really are a joke.
