Could try re-pairing them or maybe a different sound pre set?

Is that wireless? Will definitely be giving that a go if that's the case.

Hot, my boys love these, sturdy and good quality. The price is good considering the exchange rates etc.

Permanent price drop? I'm a month away from buying a ps4 pro. All these ps4 pro, controller and bundle sets are driving me mad!

Great headphones. I've had a set for about 18 months and they work great for COD etc but recently the foam covering has started to peel/flake off. Still work flawlessly though.

Great set

Same price on Amazon, Smyths very etc...

These are handy for watching streamed entertainment and games on PS4. Can pop into kitchen to make a brew and can still hear the action with no cords getting in the way. The functionality for PS3 (and Vita but wired only) is a plus. They come with a dongle that works in PS3 and PS4 USB port. Only down side is as a glasses wearer, I find these press against the ear after a while. I usually get half way through a film before they need readjusting to take pressure off. I can put up with it for functionality, but for some it might be a deal breaker. I do usually end up using a more comfortable wired pair of headphones.

No. Just wired if your not using a PS3 or PS4. I use them wired on my Xbox but have to use another set if I’m using the mic as everyone complains I keep cutting out

Sorry, but that's just plain wrong. They work wirelessly with the PC, just plug the USB dongle in and away you go. Used them without issue on Windows 10 (including the mic)
Also works fine wirelessly with my Raspberry Pi for Plex or Kodi usage

Tempted to get a backup pair at this price!

Same with mine (albeit after closer to 3 years)
Got a pair of replacement pads from eBay for less than £7 delivered and they're absolutely perfect.

Every other week for years this deal gets posted and goes hot.

Never been impressed with the mic quality on these. Good sound whoring. Comfortable. Cheapest wireless headset on the market. I personally think they look cool. Works on PC too. You get a lead so you can plug it into a 3.5mm jack and a nice bag to carry it in or just to keep dust off it.

These say stereo then say 7.1? Confused. Any clarity on this?

Do you have them on the right way around? Me and my son and a few others that play together have them and there's no issue. It's very low if you have the headphones on back to front.

They're a stereo headset but they have virtual surround when connected to PS4 wirelessly. Works quite well. Can hear where footsteps and, more importantly, shots are coming from. A bit liacking in bass when using virtual surround though.

Just picked up a pair from game, quid dearer but get points and used credit to get them for £30

Would these deliver surround sound on PC using Windows sonic?

Pricematched at Amazon.

i have these and i have had them for quite a while. There are top headphones they really are. they sound really good, the surround sound is really immersive although its not a true 7.1. There comfortable i have worn them for hours on end and they dont dig in my head and i dont sweat in them. There is one big problem with these though, they break very easily. If you look on the internet its flooded with complaints about them breaking. They break on the hinge because the plastic that holds the metal pin is really weak. They are also known to break on the headband. Mine went after bout a month you start to see hairline cracks in the plastin then they just break. To fix them i drilled a very small hole through the plastic which was left and pushed a small nail through to replace the pin. I have not had a problem since and seem a lot stronger to be honest.

No there just not that good. I've had two and my son as one. All have bad mics. Two different systems. Still got two of them. Alot of my friends use very good mics and so do I with my A50's and Platronics 780 plus my Scarlett. This headset as much as I love the epic sound whoring (hearing foot steps in FPS games) I just wish the mic was better.

Edit: Feel I should explain more. People in party chat can hear me fine, but I sound like I'm in a tin can some times and other time it's just not high quality. I like them however I do get moaned at some times in chat and I can't use them for streaming becaus of the mic.

I had these in white but the plastic broke and after buying several replacements out of my own pocket which also failed, I gave up on them. The sound quality was great but the build quality is atrocious. I was super careful with mine and put no force on the plastic ever. Every time the plastic literally just disintegrated on it's own and the headphones totally broke in half at the top of the headband - shockingly poor quality. The plastic material used is a joke and not fit for purpose. What's worse is that every time Sony didn't want to know and couldn't care less - they act like criminals - atrocious customer services. When they fail after 12 months, they will tell you to go jump. The internet is full of people with these problems and these headphones.

The 7.1 Sony talk about is absolute garbage and pure marketing designed to take advantage of people. I have no idea how on Earth they think they can legally put that term anywhere near the box. Although the headphones sound great, the headphones are just normal 2.0 stereo headphones with virtual surround sound. It is literally total BS to use the term 7.1 on anything to do with these headphones.

You had me excited there, just plugged dongle into my Xbox and it’s not working. Is there a settings option I’m missing?

I've got a pair of these. Quite good I think. I'm selling up though. It's all going. PS4 console, headphones, everything.

Voted cold, there headphones sound good but the make quality is horrible, the hinges keep on breaking within a month, and i am good at keeping things safe for a long long time, in my view, these are the worst blue tooth headphones i have ever seen, please don't bother unless you have enough money to waste.

Good headphones. After two years though, the leather material of the ear pads has begun to rip off.

Oh - that's another thing that happened to mine too. It's shockingly not real leather but some weird very cheap nasty thin material. It looks premium until you see it fall apart. The material on mine developed several weird air bubbles inside the fake leather and then these areas all disintegrated as if made of garbage - this happened after a year of light use. The fake leather material failed on all of mine and came off like this.

these are good quality - I keep mine on a headphone stand near my monitor (i'm a PC gamer with a PS4 alongside my rig ;-)) so when not in use i'm not likely to experience the breakage issues people report (probably dropping them etc)

main downside is battery life

Does anyone know if they work with psvr?

I’ve had these for around 2 years, still in great condition and the sound quality is excellent. I always store them in the drawstring bag, so they are well looked after.

Xbox still needs to be wired I'm afraid... I only mentioned it also working wirelessly on PC/RPi

Had these for nearly 3 years now.

Brilliant bit of kit, comfy (although for me, really long extended plays they start to hurt), brilliant sound quality and I got them for £45 from Smyths so a bargain.

My only issue, very little nit pick, nothing major, is sometimes the sound cuts out when I leave the room .. although, this doesn't affect anything as i'm leaving the room anyway so why would it matter! just thought i'd mention it, in case you were gassing to someone online while going to get a drink or what not ...

I don't like having things plugged into the USB ports on my PS3 or PS4, just because they're at the front of the consoles. Can I therefore plug the USB dongle into an alternative device?
