Was looking for a double din stereo for my mk3 Ford Focus and this seems a cracking price as around £200 everywhere else

Be sure to use code to get 10% off taking it down to £135

Done. Thanks op. Hope it's good and pays off

Nice but I'd rather just use my tablet and not worry about my window getting smashed every time I park. I do wish there was a good graphics app to work with power amp though

Great price for a Sony double din unit. I've had Sony car stereo's since I started driving and they really are excellent sound wise. I currently have the XAV602BT and it's brill.

HAHA just after I buy a single Sony DIN dam ! Typical my luck

Thanks op. :-)

This has been on offer for a while, It looks nice, but no bluetooth, which lets it down badly for me.

Seems a good price to me, it is a shame about Bluetooth though.
Thanks op

it will be ok to my Civic VIII ???

seems crazy to spend that much on a car stereo without Bluetooth

Would look good back in the 90s in my ford escort

Reckon this would be a straight swap for the double DIN in my mk5 Golf?

Cheers!

Mine too, I bought a Sony double din less than a month ago, but not multi media
Flame on!8)

Mk5 golf will have a quad lock connector so you will need to but an adaptor lead at the same time.

No DAB and no Bluetooth

Pick up tomorrow. Thanks OP

GPS?

can this play back 1080p MKV? and downmix DTS tracks?

Not a straight swap as you'll need some adaptors. The standard Mk5 head units use a Quadlock connector and are slightly larger than Double-DIN sized.

As an alternative look up the RCD 510 on eBay. Its basically the VW OEM equivalent of this unit and costs round about the same.

Agree with you.

I don't, bluetooth is slow and over rated, so 90's, these units should be coming with wifi direct if anything.

These are stupid remarks about Bluetooth. I believe all of these should have Bluetooth, as should all OE car stereos. So many eejits driving around with their mobiles glued to their hands, I could scream.

looking for a double din too but no Bluetooth = no way. Playing music and taking calls on my current single din stereo is fantastic.

No bluetooth cold. No nav either so even colder.

I really want to install a rear parking camera on my 10 year old car, This looks like it will take the input, good deal or not?

The car is only worth a grand and yes, i know the sensible option would be to buy another car rather than spend around £300 getting a camera set up, but this is easier.

The no bluetooth is a concern, but I can't really see any other alternatives for price.

Any advice greatly appreciated.. :-)

Unlikely very well; you'd need media on device rather than cloud storage/spotify, it wouldn't do satnav audio and the socket probably only outputs 500mA so most modern phones would run down faster than they charge.

And why do you believe it's a stupid remark? Have you ever tried to use an Iphones bluetooth for instance.

I went onto youtube to see the quality of the Radio the super slow animations would put me off.

I had one of those with inbuilt Bluetooth (admittedly a cheap one) and it didnt have a separate mic so I found myself talking to the stereo which was a bit awkward to say the least. Ended up returning it.

when did bluetooth become such a deal breaker?

do people seriously have the need to speak so much on the phone in the car?

and if its for streaming music!?! why settle for poorer quality when it will sound better direct from the unit?

@montana78
Front USB isn't anything like Bluetooth sod quality that you won't here anyway it's a car, so road noise blah blah. Also while I'm moaning why on earth would you want DTS AND 1080p lol get a decent tv and sound system and watch it in your home (unless your home is your car then I apologise)

I feel like one with a pop-out screen would be safer from thieves as they are pretty well disguised when retracted.

Good price nonetheless

Although the specification was produced in the 90's, the first implementation of it wasn't until 2000...just saying...
