I've had this phone since June and cannot fault it used s8, briefly had s9 use iPhone 8 for my work phone, I will not swap this for any off them, far superior in every way. The 21.9 ratio is so good for watching films, also more comfortable to use and hold to other phones due to slim profile. Its fast has 4k display and also love the dedicated shutter button. Since I have had mine 3 off my friends of brought one after using mine. Only minor negative is the fingerprint scanner not the best although recent update has improved

Awesome price. Would have snapped up but don't fancy the credit check sign up and cancellation.

Don't go off tech radar these paid journalists, these the same website that said waterproofing is a gimmick when Sony introduced it in 2013 with z. These guys are very unreliable when comes to review, they use to be very pro apple at one time now there getting paid by Huawei now. I always track there review with a pinch of salt. I have Xperia 1 and its bright enough

Sorry I was pointing to the battery life as every review I have read of this phone has moaned about the disappointing battery life!

Perhaps new Android updates may improve the battery life
We have two Xperia 1 ones mine the other is the wife, its last all day I have about 20 percent at about 10 pm. Most phones I have had have alway lasted all day. If I pit stamina mode on you will get Evan longer.

That might actually happen, but if your buying a new phone, why should you even have to deal with this? so many flagship phones that came out this year have a 4000 mah battery with battery optimization already present.

There are so many options for a little more or less, not voting either way.

Sony phones are not that popular anymore. Each to his own.
Now that Pixel 4 phones are out, can't complain about battery life on this

Did return mine after getting it at launch unfortunately, fingerprint sensor is bad compared to S10e I replaced it with and camera quality was also poor (Sony just can't nail HDR). Also had some stability issues which I haven't experience on any Android phone for last 5 years. Camera app would crash on almost daily basis in the first week and phone would also lock up.

Maybe it was a dodgy unit and maybe they sorted things with updates but I still hear people complaining about fingerprint sensor. Honestly, since getting S10e with a side fingerprint sensor, difference is night and day.

I kept finding myself tempted by this phone, this is a pretty good review! And you actually get a real Snapdragon 855, not a wannabe Samsung Exynos!

Anyone know why O2 seem to be fire-selling every single device under O2 Refresh? I'm sure their useless customer services will be even more inundated and incapable of cancelling all these extra contracts now though.

I had this phone and really enjoyed it the screen is amazing and stock android is great but I found the camera today be poor in comparison to an iPhone or samsung.

Would you buy a Daihatsu if it had a BMW badge on it?
How can people say this lasts all day. My Note 10 plus doesn't last all day and my Xperia 1 never lasted a whole afternoon.

2 hour train journey every morning, 2 hour lunch break and the phone was dead.
How do you buy the handset

They didn’t charge me as such they just didn’t bother cancelling it when they said they would, and I don’t know why I expected any better from the network who can’t even provide a functional network or loyalty program...

I think they’re just inept, but they think people actually want a contract with O2 when in fact they just want a cheap phone to use on a proper network like Vodafone or EE.

I'd agree O2 aren't perfect, but I've always found the customer service to be perfect, and they'll always compensate and sort any issues that arise. That's the reason I've stuck with them, anytime I've had an issue they've fixed it and credited my account for the inconvenience. Considering I've been with them for 7+ years and only have 3 issues makes me feel some people here have been the unlucky ones.

Always people on both sides but after those ****s cut me off on 23rd December a while ago for their own mistake (which got escalated to Executive and they wiped out my contract and let me keep the phone) and more recently totally unusable service, I think I’m going to avoid them for anything but getting cheap subsidised phones. Some of their stores are good and I like getting Nero coffee on Tues/Wed but that’s it, I can’t give them credit for anything else. Their signal and capacity is awful and they’re the furthest behind the others, and when I complained about this I got the usual: try restarting your phone and factory reset from the really helpful CS team. In the end I just lived with it - embarrassingly I usually tethered my O2 phone to my EE work phone just to use data...
Got phone yesterday cancelled contract and paid outstanding balance this morning, Total £374 great deal thank you.
