Apparently, heat is a common issue with this device? Any idea? 😜

Excellent deal OP. Heated . (edited)
When I first got mine before the firmware updates it heated up even just using the camera. The firmware before last fixed that and a few other issues completely.

Actually tempted but I know I wont like it

Apparently no night mode and no auto mode - would be interested if it had those. Just want a point and shoot camera on a phone. Happy to be corrected!
48871957-7EnjQ.jpgAuto is there. Night seems fine though not as good as my iPhone.

Got one on a refub good rate and not a mark on it would of thought was a new phone, really impressed come from a s22 and cams much better as is the system not buggy and no over heating problems at all and runs android 13, (edited)
Good to know mate, I guess there is some luck of the draw to some degree. I was tempted to go for 'Excellent' condition but seeing this I've just ordered the same good condition

Yes it's refurbished but still a very good price for the newest 1 IV from Sony ♨️

I had this, also had the MK ii and the MK i before it. Nice phone, but other phones have caught up. Now got a Google Pixel 7 Pro and it is much better than this. Slicker, smoother and camera for everyday use (quick and easy) is better.

Anyone who bought this, this time around, was the phone in line with the grading?
I got very good, it wasn't. The screen had a some reasonable scratches on, sent it back. Shame

So, mine arrived a moment and it's in excellent condition (Good condition chosen) BUT:

The phone intermittently charges when plugged in, so basically it's a faulty phone.

It's going back haha, nice looking phone and a great form factor. Loved my X1II when I had it:

I absolutely loved this device, close to stock android and the camera (if you learn to use the pro app) is literally amazing!
Even point and shoot is ok.
I didn’t have any issues with my battery life as some reviews state and I’d say I’m a heavy user.
How is the battery life on heavy usage?

Wow. The GiffGaff prices for this are so damn good. I know where to get mine from next.
I was just going to sent this you way but you're already here lol.

Wow! I've had the Sony i-pro and it was superb but no wireless charging. This scratches my itch but I'm using the pixel 7 pro. Still want this for the amazing screen! (edited)
Pixel 7 pro is the best no? I have it for a month now and its fantastic

I reckon if this had the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 it might've been about perfect, still a very good price for such a feature rich phone
The difference is pretty minor between the 8 Gen 1 and 8 Gen 1+? Power efficiency is the main difference I thought?

Excellent price! Don't like Sony, but still tempted...

    Hot. I must resist

Not much difference between last years model which i think they also offer.Tempted to go for it but had issue before on a Sony 4k screen where netflix and amazon prime would only output in full HD

    That’s a steal

    I don’t need this!!!

This deal was still the best but the way the team amended the title meant it didn't get much heat hotukdeals.com/sha…961

Why is this phone dropped price so big?!
It is so unusual from Sony. (edited)

Just got rid of my Sony Xperia 1 ii
    Really enjoyed the phone.

However the camera is not a point and shoot. It's really for the individual who wants to spend a bit of time getting all the settings correct.
Well for the latest Sony phones it is and it isn’t. It’s got a Basic and an Auto mode and they give fairly decent results but to get the best out of it you do need to switch to the various manual modes. Still good photos from auto for the average person, though. (edited)

Link is taking me to sim order.
    Have to search under refurbs

How do I get this deal? It’s keeps bringing up a sim order
For some reason the link just keeps taking you to the advert. You need to press on the Gifgaf sign (top left), then hover over Our Offer at the top, choose Refurbished Phones and click on just Sony ones. (edited)

@Lizergamid and @pudding102 Search xperia 1 IV in giffgaff, some reason direct giffgaff links don't work (edited)

Worth keeping in mind that they have three quality grades above this.
Eh, think you've got your numbering the wrong way round? The 5 is just a smaller phone and the 10 is more basic.
  26. Avatar
they also have the Xperia 1 iii Like New for £599, which is pretty good!
and Cex currently have an Xperia 1 ii grade A for £340 - I got one a few months ago and it was literally new. (edited)
  27. Avatar
I've got the Mk iii and no heating issues at all (presumably because of the firmware updates of which had about half dozen after first connecting). Very nice phone but the audio DAC is very disappointing compared to the LG LV50 wanted to replace (although a US model so multiple downsides)
Hi, did you buy the Mk iii like new version from GiffGaff ? If so, how new did you find the device ?
  28. Avatar
Good deal, essentially it's half the price.
  29. Avatar
Great phone, it's a powerhouse in terms of internals. very good price.

There's pros and cons for each, I'd say they were about on par but it really depends on what functions are more important.

Anyone know if this is the two physical sim card version.
Mine just arrived and it's the single physical SIM model. But, you can get an ESIM as a second SIM on this device.
