    Their naming convention is questionable
    Sony tiers:

    Budget - Xperia 10
Smaller version of flagship - Xperia 5
    Flagship - Xperia 1
    Pro - Xperia Pro

Then you get the MkI MkII MkIII MkIV etc. to indicate which model year it is so for example, Xperia 10 IV, Xperia 5 IV and Xperia 1 IV are this years handsets and Xperia 10 III, Xperia 5 III and Xperia 1 III are last years ones.

Good price for a recently released flagship + heat , worth also pointing out can be had for £745 @ cex grade A which is essentially like new also (edited)
might be a dumb question, but do you know if CEX, if it has stock, will open and show you the phone as to its condition?

Had this phone since release day and I must say I am very pleased with it. It feels like a quality handset from vibration motor to camera to build quality.

Yes I did get the heat issues initially, even when just taking photos of flowers in my garden for a few mins. It was probably enough at the time to put a chunk of people off and get rid of their phones hence we are seeing the refurbs at the price available. They most likely will all be brand new looking for sure, the phone came out in UK June 16th afterall.

However all that being said, after an update or two it's been fully solid and haven't had a single overheat let alone heat warning and I have been on holidays abroad and fully used the camera without issues.

I fully agree that a smartphone launch is its most critical time to be scrutinized if there is a fault and Sony should have known better to test the handset in more detail as this phone is associated with 🔥 and not in the good sense but I am here to say you no longer have to believe those early reviews.

The device is amazing and you should definitely jump on board at this price point. And if that don't do it for then just know experiencing a usage on a sony phone is a bloat free one, I'm looking at you Samsung!

S22 or this? I want something compact now. Tired of my heavy note 10+. Read somewhere this doesn't have night mode and night on Samsung's isn't usually good anyway. (edited)
This is not compact. S22 is. Note 10+ is not the heaviest for a normal size phone. night mode that's a tricky one, pixel 6 is compact.

Cracking find switchy. FIRE! Does anyone know if it is only the dual SIM version that can take the extra storage expansion? (edited)
I have the single SIM version and I have a 128gb SD card installed.

This one has heating issues due to 8 gen 1. If only they used 8+ gen 1.
Spot on. Sony are just slow with pushing the latest.

Camera any use? Like to take scenic shots

Why are the cameras so small? What are they not using frying pan cameras like everyone else?

Awful for Plex playback if that's your thing.

Does anyone know of a way to get around from having to be coerced into buying Giffgaff's sodding goody bag along with the phone?

Is klarna 0% over 24 months?
