So my initial impressions are the build is fantastic, as is the screen. The camera offers every conceivable control option, but point and click I think the pixel 6 and 7 are better. The device runs warm, for example downloading some music on Spotify whilst sending a WhatsApp message and it warms up. Gaming, it gets very warm. Battery seems great. There is a warning when you start the camera app saying that if a certain symbol appears the phone could burn you! Never seen that before. I've not managed to get it anywhere near hit enough to be concerning, though that disclaimer is a little worrying!

This or the Pixel 7 pro?
Already have P7p but was always interested in getting a Sony. Pretty happy with Pixel but I'm being greedy now! (edited)

Give the Xperia a go. Depends what you want in a phone. Feels very much the same as a Pixel OS/Skin wise. But then you have...

    - headphone jack
    - 4k/120hz screen (21:9 better imo)
    - 30w charging
    - physical fingerprint reader
    - physical shutter button
    - better gaming features
    - nicer build

The camera experience is drastically different, more like using a real camera so if you like your Night Sight and lower light shots as well as the over processed look of a Pixel then you may not like the Sony Xperiance.

For me though I love the video features and the colour science of the photos. Switched to the 7 Pro from the 1 IV and wish I hadn't.

Not bad If you don't want the slight hassle of the o2 deal, although I'd probably still prefer to do that and get a brand new one.

So grade B then, they openly contradict themselves in the description.

Good phone but a lot of complaints about overheating issue. (edited)

I heard on PC Pro podcast that the devices come with warnings regarding overheating issues causing burns, I've not heard or read about this anywhere else, though

Mine arrived this morning via special delivery, few minor marks on back, couple on side, one tiny scratch on the screen only visible when the device is off, I'm pleased :-)
