They all come unlocked. O2 announced it last year they no longer come locked. So fill your boots.
where should I select full payment?
Struggling to work out how this works. Do we need to be o2 customer?
thanks for answers about the unlock folks. It doesn't look like you can actually pay for the device in full (max £60 up front)
Oh well... would have been a good deal if possible to pay full £97 up front.

You can call them to pay off the remainder of the phone balance and cancel the airtime in one call. Then it's yours to keep.
You don’t have to be a O2 customer as this is a new tariff.

ive read before that o2 blacklist you if you do this, how true that is and for how long who knows.

You can pay it off in full if you're on desktop version of the site. Go to "see our plans", then scroll down to "pay for your device in full" and pick any of the options there.

The battery is a massive disaster on this phone, hard to grumble for £97 though I suppose.
Iove everything about the phone aside from the main selling point; the size.

It just feels too awkward to hold and use and hardly any of the media uses the full screen. Maybe my fingers are too short

Great deal, though.

I have Xperia 1 found it the most comfortable, most phones are becoming to wide this slim easy to handle and the 21.9 ratio is beautiful, you can fill the screen to fill the sides. Love extra content you get when Web browsing and split screen is nice feature

I got the Xperia 1 yesterday and it was really horrible compared to my Oneplus 7T pro. Battery drained super fast and the aspect ratio was just awkward to hold. Camera lagged really bad and overall it did not feel like a premium experience for how much it is supposed to cost. Am not going to keep it.

Your 1st one I now to have feel this both my work colleagues have the Xperia 1. You need to use for a week before you make decision. This phones has better stock android experience then the one plus and better built

It was a lot worse build quality than my OnePlus 7t pro. And it was running Android 10. There were a lot of software bugs like the front camera quality in WhatsApp video calls being absolutely terrible and the screen colour calibration breaking. I have very big hands so I had to claw my whole hand up just to type on it. It felt like they sacrificed a lot of features just to make it that thin, and the thinness made it actually harder to hold.

Filling the screen loses the top and bottom of the picture a lot of the time. I really liked Sony’s other phones but the size put me off this one, sadly.

Don't think you can say build quality is better, the oneplus 7 doesn't specify what type off glass they use and isn't gorrila glass 6 it's there own cheaper version, nor is the oneplus waterproof, this has gorilla glass 6 front and back, and the oneplus has 6.7 inch screen make very wide so hardly could do selfies with that and you telling me thats more comfortable to hold then Xperia 1, did you have really own the Sony?, the display on the Xperia 1 is probably the best for media consumption with its 4k HDR display.

Glass feels like glass and OnePlus does use gorrila glass 6 on the front and 5 on the back and is water resistant although not IP certified. The Xperia feels very light in the hand whereas the OnePlus is a lot heavier and has a matte glass back as opposed to glossy and an overall more dense and metallic feel which seems higher quality to me. The camera housing on the back of the Xperia is also surrounded by plastic which feels very cheap whereas everything on the OnePlus phone is metal and glass.

The front camera problem was a software bug in video chat apps which is reported online by others: talk.sonymobile.com/t5/…402. I don't notice any difference in sharpness between the 1440p amoled screen on the oneplus or the 4k of the Xperia, but I do notice the 90hz screen of the OnePlus. The Xperia also had a green tint on low brightness on dark content whereas the OnePlus screen is totally uniform which indicates a better quality display panel (although both are made by Samsung). Most video content I watch is 16:9 and not 21:9 so actually most videos are a lot smaller on the Xperia for me.

You worked all this out by using in one day, I use video chat all the time not experiencing any issues, your wrong about the panel not made by Samsung, its LG display for Sony and optimised with Sony x1 video procceessor with trumilous display , oneplus not waterproof because its not been rated with ip68 and oneplus officially say its not waterproof. can't see anywhere in oneplus specification about gorrila glass 6? Evan the s10 only has gorilla glass 6 on front and 5 at the back. Xperia 1 only phone with 6 on both sides

Display is made by Samsung.

These are the specs of the gorilla glass on 7t but 7t pro has Gorilla 6 on the front according to GSMarena.

OnePlus phones have water resistance hardware inside them like rubber grommets etc., but they just don't pay for certification. No manufacturer offers a warranty against water damage anyway so it's a risk with any device.

Anyway I've owned like 10+ phones this year including Xiaomi, Huawei, Sony, OnePlus, and Motorola. Sony was by far the worst tbh. The reviews of the phone speak for themselves really.

39757955-wMnCk.jpgI sell phones for living and here 2 I'm going to sell plus iPad 2019 128gb, probably used more then 30 different phones in last few years and sold about 100 myself, but the Sony have always been the most reliable for me so I have used different brands

How did this compare to the Honor 10 lite I've just had delivered?

Nothing much in it - the Honor has the standout battery, while the Sony has 4K recording & type-C USB charging: m.gsmarena.com/com…403

The Sony will feel smaller in the hand - easier to hold & operate single-handedly for smaller hands - as it is noticeably narrower: phonearena.com/pho…139, but some say above the screen ratio didn't suit them & was actually harder to handle

Xperia 10 will get the a android 10 update soon so better support also is gorilla glass 5, build quality is better. Narrow frame easy to hold, and 21.9 screen ratio better for watching films, performance very similar although the Sony has snapdragon 600 series procceessor with cleaner android skin, so wont slow down

Go onto the website following the link provided. Then scroll all the way to the bottom until you can't scroll any more and you can see the footer. You should see the option to view all tariffs just above. Click onto that page.39763398-hQsWH.jpg
Then on that page you can build your package. You want to scroll past halfway until you see the option to see the plans to pay for your device in full. Click the drop down thing that says see our plans then select a tariff depending on what you want/need. Whatever you select you're paying for the device in full as well as selecting a contract line to go with it which I'm guessing you'll cancel withing the first 14 days. NOTE: This is on a desktop. If you're on a smartphone you need to select the option in your browser to view the desktop page.39763398-oFkpZ.jpg

Gone for it. I guess I can always sell it for a profit if I am not keen.

So I just phone up and cancel the tarriff? Do I even need to use the SIM?

Thanks for all the advice people.

Oh and I went through TCB. Not sure if will get me anything?

Is RAM 3GB or 4GB?
Actually isn't the Moto G7 better than this?
