Here is the deal. 1000 mins 5000 texts 2GB (3g data) Talk Mobile £62.99 upfront.

Deal is via Mobiles phones Direct but the only way to get to the deal is bizarrely by using Techrader.com mobile comparison. I can't seem to get to the deal on Mobile Phones Direct website so could be one of their famous errors like with the NEXUS 5X. Thought the deal was lower than else where and to my surprise I have had a dispatched email. Please note new deal below even better.

Here is the deal. 1000 mins 5000 texts 2GB (3g data) Talk Mobile £62.99 upfront £30.00 cash back via quidco, tracked twice for me no issue. If quidco is paid the cost over 24 months is just over £16.25 a month. The next best deal I was able to find was around £20.50 direct from vodafone if you convince the online support that you work for a particular company and they give you 20% discount which is a bit of a faf.

You need to use Techradars comparison to get the deal which is link. Set the operator to Talk Mobile, limit upfront cost to under £100 and do deals low to high, you should be able to discover it. Hope this helps someone.

As per the OP, it's through the techradar comparison tool.

Select any network, upto £100 upfront costs and 2GB+ data. Then sort by cost low to high.

Post has credited you. Many thanks. Bit gutted I could have had 2gb and double minutes for just four quid today. When my device arrives tomorrow I'm going to pursuade them to match I hope.
This or SU6?

This or SU6?

My wife went for the s6, I went for Z5 Compact. Personally I like sd storage, stereo speakers and water proof but the s6 in terms of spec is just as good, just differently. I prefer the smaller Z5 Compact too.
Mobilephonesdirect refused quidco and refused the full autocashback they stated when I got a contract 4 months ago, similar deal too, be careful
How do you get quidco going through this link?
Are talkmobile likely to get 4G anytime soon?
What about the Nexus 5X 32Gb White? Looks like a better deal(?)
£12.50 x 24 months + upfront fee (£57.99) = £357.99 and maybe cachback from Quidco too
for 1000 mins 5000 texts and 2Gb 3G data

Use the link on tech radar which will take you to mobile direct basket, open new tab, go to quidco and find mobile direct link, click it. Use the tab you opened via quidco to check out the phone you put in your basket via the Techradar link.

Agreed never do cash back by redemption. Quidco seems fairly reliable for this trader. Bt were offering 200 via quidco, declined no reason. Best thing to do is get the best deal without cashback , but if a chance to get and cost nothing, may as well take a punt.

Z5 Compact is a better mobile

Horses for courses :-)

Nexus 5 is has much better screen (resolution/ppi) and is a bit bigger, is part of the Nexus ecosystem so will receive faster and more updates Android OS updates in the future.
The Sony is smaller and feels more premium (less plasticky), better camera and has MicroSDHC slot.

But then I do like the way how Google have supported Nexus phones with software updates but alas they are cutting down on that "devices will receive Android version updates for at least two years from when the device first became available on the Google Store." + Security updates = "Three years from when the device first became available on the Google Store Or, 18 months after the device stopped being sold on the Google Store"

If we want updates then Windows 10 is the best choice(?), if you get a Windows 10 phone now it will be supported for life (haha, doubt they can pull that off)

I love nexus sadly too many compromises, camara for one.

Yep, that's the weakness with Android: it's all too fragmented (some get updates, some don't and are vulnerable + some cheapo budget handsets are atrocious + some manufacturers put terrible skins on the OS etc.), not a universal experience.
E.g. the hardware of the recent Samsung phones are stunning but I hate Touchwiz interface and all the Samsung preloaded bloatware. Sony Z5 have the best cameras but we don't know how long Sony will provide software updates. Ah and then when phones are locked to mobile operators software updates depend on the carriers grrr (and Vodafone never upgraded my LG from Andoird 4.4 to 5.0 (even though it was available)

So yea Windows 10 and iOS phones don't have that issue :-/
(not into iOS and Windows, I lost patience, Windows 10 is great but app ecosystem is still a desert, try online banking apps etc)
Good deal. Best current rate for a Z5 compact is about £270. Which makes the monthly cost about £6.25 or £5.13 if the Quidco comes through. Also avoids the need for forking out £270 up front in one go. Bit of a shame it's not 4G data but to be honest I've no essential need for anything over and above 3G as I'm rarely away from WiFi.

Vodafone? I'm out! Poor reception where i live.
Happened to be in a meeting with another Vodafone MVNO yesterday and was told that Voda had no plans at the moment to give MVNOs based on their network access to 4G...

Yeah, I know about the fact they piggyback on Vodafone. Just wondered if they were going to get access to VF 4G network like giffgaff get from O2.

You will have 14 days to send it back.
Can someone help me? I just want to have 200 min and msges on all networks in Uk and only 200 minutes to a specific country from 'EU' per month and unlimited data or 20 GB , is this possible ? I don't want unlimited calls/texts. Sorry for bad english typing ( still learning )
I currently have the old HTC One, anyone know if its worth changing to this phone?

Battery life is really bad but no other issues with the phone itself.

I have to say I didn't think it would be worth upgrading from a Z3 compact to a Z5 Compact but its a bit faster generally and the extra internal memory is a bonus. You will struggle to find another mobile around this compact size with such a good spec. It is mid range but it doesn't disappoint in any way. the only slight down side is the screen is just 720p not 1080p or higher, but this isn't a problem.
Deal has changed. Expired.
