Any idea what the 'Smartband Bundle' consists of as i'm sure the phone is cheaper elsewhere (SIM Free).

If this 'Bundle' is actually worth something then this will probably be the better deal.
The cheapest price for any Sony smartband as far as I can see is on Amazon for £30 for the SWR10. Dearer elsewhere. You may find the phone for £10 or so cheaper, but works out a good deal with the smartband. The same bundle is on tesco pay monthly and it contains the SWR10, so would assume this bundle is the same.

Thanks for the reply. If it is the SWR10 then this could represent a great deal. My only concern was in case you only received different coloured bands rather than the unit itself - however, as you mentioned you clarified with Tesco Direct then I will make the purchase.

Voted Hot.
Very tempting anyone know if it's any good ?

Try YouTube for reviews. But be prepared to skip through umpteen videos made by 12 year old spotty yank Herberts!

In depth review from GSMarena.

They critisize the phone for being worse than the xperia E3 in styling, screen quality (resolution is higher on the E4, but colour, contrast, outdoor visibility, and viewing angles are all worse),and for having a slower mediatek chipset.

Maybe the E4g (4G version) will be a better bet, as it has a faster chipset and slightly smaller (presumably better quality) display.
MTK processor as found in many a budget Chinese smartphone. A 960x540 screen resolution on a 5" display and a 5 megapixel camera.

At £99 it is about on the money..and taking the risk from China you could actually do better for your money, or pumping up that little bit extra for a Moto G with a decent processor and higher screen resolution.
If you fo the contract route, you get

250 minutes
5000 texts
500mb/3g data

for £5.83 a month

or same mins/texts plus 1gb/3g data for £8,33 a month

2 year contract

You may find you'll get an answer quicker if you say please and use one question mark. Were you trying to make a point by using four?
Taking off my grumpy hat, I'd hazard a guess the contract is with the same supplier as the phone. Tesco, BTW. :-P
The moment I read mediatek I lost interest.

They are hostile to open-source so once Sony stop supporting the device there will be little the community can do to back-port Android kernel hosts

may be a few pence difference in what I said cos I knocked off £100 for the phone (not £99)
£ 5:87 for the 1st plan
Check if screen has bad reviews. Z3 and other xperia Z models are very well known for cracking on their own.
Here is the official promotional trailer for this phone.

I might get this for my sister since she smashed her Xperia E.

Check it out here!

The £100 for the phone has been factored in to get to the said price.. Its normally £10 a month

Its unlikely that Sony will support the E4 anyway, as they stated that only the Z series would get lollipop. This might get a bug fix update, but I would be surprised if it ever received an OS update.

CORRECT

Took £99 off the contract to factor in the phone.

We're going the Moto G route by the way (2 phones with 500 free Tesco minutes on top)
how does this compare? (£59)

Basically the same spec, but uses a Snapdragon chipset instead of a Mediatek chipset (many will agree that Snapdragon is always better). The cameras are better quality on the 535 (especially the front facing camera).

Otherwise it boils down to what your OS preference is. The 535 runs Windows Phone, the E4 runs Android.
Thanks for that

If we were going pay as you go, we'd save £78 with the Luminar over the Moto G 2nd gen which we went for on Tesco with 500 free (Tesco -Tesco) mins when bought with a Moto G (4G)
