It's not Amazon, it's a marketplace seller. You need to change the title and description.

It's not worth the risk for me even though the seller has decent feedback:

amazon.co.uk/gp/…DOE
id risk it, good feedback and cheap, brand new also

Changed thank you.
Currently playing legend of zelda ocarina of time all the way through again. So enjoyable while stuck travelling somewhere. Have no desire to upgrade in the slightest, love the phone.
Good price, but this phone is now stuck on Android Gingerbread though after Sony pulled the ICS update due to problems with test version.

I haven't looked in to it myself, but looks like there are ICS ROMS and Jellybean ROMS, no idea how complete they are, check the notes for each ROM, it should also be made clear that these ROMS would suit a more technical user or a user willing to modify their device. Not just a simple plug in and upgrade such as you get with stock roms >

Great phone. It's my phone. I'm a gamer who wanted a phone thrown in. Perfect for me.

You can get ICS on it unofficially, but you will sacrifice some features in doing so.

You're better staying with Gingerbread.
I installed ICS on it have no issues all features work..

Please tell us how you got it on the phone?

I'm beginning to dislike mine's, Its becoming slow and slightly jerky when scroll through the screens.
Only bought as there was rumours that FF7 was going to be released for it!

Sure,

I rooted and installed a custom ROM and kernal so I could overclock the CPU to 1.4gz, this is moderately advanced but quite easy to do (be careful to follow everything exactly, its also easy to get it wrong - understand the risks too, e.g no longer protected under warranty in a rooted state), all information on how to do it can be found here

ROM

I use DoomLord's DoomKernal (similar process to flashing a new bios on a motherboard), and use JokaWildRom v2.5 which does not use ICS or Jellybean and is quite old now (android v2.3.4), but is fast and does what I want it to so no reason to change it.

By rooting you can remove all bloat and so even without overclocking the CPU it should run faster.

N64 / playstation

I use FPSE emulator for PS1 which can be found on the play store, this plays FFVII, and 90% of other PS1 games really well. Again read up online about setting up this app and you should be fine, you also need images of the orignal games stored on your SD card to play.

For N64 I use N64oid, cant be found on the play store but can be found with a google search, for this you need to tweak the gamepad dependant on the game played (e.g no Z trigger), and you need to be able to find the games to play on it (roms), I believe these are legal if you own the originals.

You can also get emulators for every other console released prior to these mentioned, all are excellent, and the only reason I wanted the Xperia Play. Have had a chance to move to a Galaxy SIII contract recently and turned it down. Emulators just won't be the same on a different phone...

Answered your own question there. I love my HTC One X, but I'd love a slide out game pad. And it's only £125, and (I would imagine) handles everything (or the vast majority) of anything you could throw at it via the play store.

Mine overclocks when in heavy use, and underclocks when not in use, doing this has given me an extra 12-18 months use on my last 2 smart phones without having to experience lag.

oh yes I see I do this but I would never increase the voltage etc

I already completed it all the way through on my Xperia Play. Hadn't done it since I got it for Christmas back in the day. Awesome game. The Play works really well with it.

...and I agree on the 2nd part too.
Starting to show it's age now. I love this phone but many games now (whilst compatible) lag like hell, the new Asphalt being a big one, minecraft also isn't as smooth as it should be. I tend not to use it for gaming so much now, but I have to agree with the comment above about emulation being really good on it.
Mine has been returned to Sony on 2 occasions to be repaired. Firstly got a static type pic on it, 2nd time camera stopped working (froze phone when used).

Also the amount of onboard storage on this phone is p*** poor.
expired???
