Sony Xperia X Rose Gold version is £129.99 at Envirofone.
No, the battery isn't amazing unless you turn on the battery saver option and yes, this model is a bit on the pink side, but for a mid range phone that isn't Huawei P8 Lite 2017, I don't think there's much better in this price range.

I've previously bought from Envirofone myself and had no problems.

Bought this phone like 7 months ago for this price so not really a deal in my opinion, but overall is a very good phone, however seen the s6 for 110 on musicmagpie I think that's better for money
I'm currently using one (charcoal model) and it's nice in the hand, quite snappy for browsing and has dual front facing speakers and decent headphone sound improvement software for music.

Tempted to go for this for my wife.... just a bit concerned about the used condition, anyone bought a used good from them before?
Is this a Sim-Free phone which has never been locked to any network?
You can install Sailfish OS on it if you hate google and Microsoft just like i do.
They had these for £109.99 good condition a while ago - also worth noting that ‘good condition’ is their lowest grade, grade C in other words so it’ll be pot luck what you get. Mine was pretty beat up on the corners and had pressure marks to the display so I returned it

You're right about the price, but I couldn't see any for that price anymore and my flux capacitor has been playing up.

Aside from the unfunny joke, why exactly should used and aging phones be going up in price? If Envirofone are selling them for this price, you’ll be able to find it similar or less on eBay.

The X was a pretty unloved phone ever since launch, it was very mediocre spec and lacked all the things people like in Sony phones (like battery life, low bloat and waterproofing) - I just can’t see people being super desperate to get this phone for £129.99 any more, even £109.99 isn’t great and I found a used XZ for that price (which is my second phone now), better in every regard.

Anyway CeX have them at £85 upwards on Vodafone and an unlock code is £5-10, they also give two year warranty - grade C so same category as Envirofone.

That's a C-grade. Envirofone 'good' grade is comparable to a B-Grade. I've got one myself and I've bought frequently from Cex in the past, so I can say that with confidence.

And as to why used phones are going up in price, I couldn't tell you, but it does seem to be the norm at the moment.

It’s not - since when has grade B been ‘moderate wear and tear’? It’s a C.

Anyway, CeX has this then:

£30 less (£25 less after unlocking) and no hilarious flux capacitor/time machine jokes required...

Why all the hate?

It’s not hate - this is your interpretation. Though you are promoting a fairly weak deal when there are better and cheaper options available, £129.99 for a used Xperia X is just too much money. And Envirofone Shop ‘good grade’ is closer to grade C, look at their own description and ask others who have bought there before. Just because you happened to get a decent ‘good’ handset doesn’t mean everyone does - plenty of other threads on this.
