Corking price! About 18 months ago I was weighing up the XZ (Premium version) or the Axon 7. But the big turn-off for me was the volume limitation when listening via headphones. No idea if Sony eventually fixed it - ZTE had a volume limiter too, only on the Euro versions (why?!) but removed it via updates some time ago.

Blue is £264.95, seems not to be am equivalent black - if pink isn't your thing, factor in a tin of spray paint
just my luck , bought this and then they drop the price by a further £20
it is now £109.99

Pretty sure the EU forced phone manufacturers to limit headphone volume in phones sold in EU countries.

There was a volume limiter with the Axon 7 A2017G (European version - other versions not affected) - ZTE rolled it back with a later software update about 18 months (?) ago.

The Sony XZ Premium had volume limitation but not sure of the current status of that, because I nearly bought one and that clinched my decision not to buy.

That suggests it's maybe at the discretion of the manufacturer.

Edit: The Huawei Mate 20 X doesn't have low volume, either. Though it appears I have the International Version. Haven't mention of headphone volume problems from reviews, though.
