Good price, so tempted!

Ouch paid £550 about a month ago. This price puts it in Oneplus 3t area. Heat OP.

What is it with Sony this generation and the smaller batteries. The Xperia XA Ultra, 6" display, 2700mAh

Where did you get the code from? Wondered if there were any codes for the x compact

code for the compact Sony Xperia X compact is 1XCOMDISCOUNT25. saving you £94.75. £379 with code £284.25

You could always buy it directly from OP, don't take it out on them
I'd go for the OP3T over this.

i wanted the 128GB version. TBH its too much cost wise to investing only to have to send it back to china to have it repaired. I bought a 200GB microsd.

I used to buy top branded phones too until i dropped and water damaged half a dozen. Yeah this one benefits from the latest 820 processor and 3GB of RAM and has a nice overall spec which would tempt me but when i see a phone such as Xiaomi Note that is over 50% cheaper i just can't see the point.... and people would say ahh but they fake, well let me tell you android is open source and the internal chipsets are the same brand. The outside shell build quality I believe is now on par and they usually built in the same town, so the only difference is the engraved brand. But then i guess if brands weren't king Apple would be out of business.

Very tempted! Must resist!
This or the Galaxy S7 sealed/unlocked for £380 (deal from a local phone shop)!
When does this offer end?

This is waterproof though, which is a feature you might find useful by the sounds of it.

possible to find perfect condition s7 edges around for ~400, personally the edge is worth the money based on aesthetics alone, never mind the battery capacity and a bigger screen which makes more sense to have 1440p on. I bought mine unboxed for 350 at cash generators, 02 had there refresh deals as well.

Where are all these Sony store vouchers coming from? Anything for TVs or cameras? Thanks.

I have given up on refurbished and second hand phones. I used to swear by them but my last 3 have all failed and not covered by warranty. I now see it as a false economy and will always look for a full 2 year UK warranty.

Love Sony style - but one thing I HATE is that it took up to recently to be able to move apps etc to SD card, and even then most of the app is still left on Internal storage. Worst case Ive ever seen.

That's actually a feature of android. Nothing to do with Sony

I intentionally didn't mention the S7Edge.. it does not appeal to me.
I had a S7Edge for a week.. although the prettiest phone around.. not practical with the crappy palm rejection (for me anyway).
I actually appreciate a little side bezel and smaller footprint (like the iPhone 7/Pixel/S7/HtC 10/Xperia XZ etc)!

I do agree. I bought my first Xiaomi a couple of months BACK (due to losing phone/theft) after top of the range Sony, LG and HTC. Bought their redmi note 3 special edition which has all 4G bands. This is their budget to mid range apparently but it's really on a par with the brands I named. Tough to get cases to fit the special edition but for £140 I am extremely satisfied.

This is very tempting!! must resist!

Now just got to decide if i go for this or a Xiaomi mi 5s Plus...

Nice price. Is it worth upgrading from a Sony Z3 to this?

I upgraded from the Z3 compact a month or so ago. I can't speak for everyone but I'm happy with it.

so tempting... been saving for a phone for a while now... not quite there yet though (£280 so far).

I would never touch a Sony phone again when I had one twice the screen cracked and the phone was just in my pocket oO

submersing the device will invalidate the warranty even though its IP65/8 certified

Surely its more a case of what you've submersed it in? Its all a bit of a con, they say "waterproof" but then say its only fresh water, not salt, so I guess they would invalidate if they found salt traces in the event of a claim? I read that AFTER I'd been on holiday and used this in the pool to record some footage of our little boy swimming underwater... luckily it was fine, and the video was amazing. I got some REALLY strange looks when I bobbed in under the water with it though, I think people thought I was mental and there was only us two in the pool so it wasn't like they thought I was some kind of sex pest!!

Title of the phone says "Sony Xperia XZ 32GB, Mineral Black, UK/IE", doesn't that mean it's locked for UK and Ireland? First time buying a phone in UK, sorry if I'm missing something.

if it's UK locked, then would I be able insert my Latvian sim card later when i move back to my home country?

dead4red69

No it doesn't

Here & here my advice is to not be mistaken into thinking its okay to submerse the device. treat it like any other electronics and keep away from liquids. Its saying water non saline. But most water contains various minerals and particulates.
