Looks like Amazon are price matching the carphone warehouse deal. So £30 cheaper than my original post.

I don't personally own one, but this is a very good price.

I found non compact version for £360 through Amazon. It is through the marke place. I don't own one but 960 FPS attracts me.

Yeah weirdly, it's harder to get a bargain XZ1 Compact than it is the non compact.
That's why this is such a good price.
I'm considering upgrading from a Z3 compact as well. It's still a fab phone but battery is starting to go, and android updates were ditched a long time ago, so potential security concerns.

Lack of Android updates is a real bummer with Sony. Once a handset gets past two years old they ditch em!
I think the Xz1 compact will be the last of the true compact phones ie 4.6'' screen. The Xz2 compact has a 5'' screen. Admittedly it has a smaller bezel but it's quite a bit heavier and chunkier than the Xz1 compact.
Nice. Best phone on the market, if you ask me.

My last phone was the X compact (very similar to this XZ1c) I just upgraded to the XZ2c, strangely I find it smaller to hold as as I found out it's width is smaller just a tad, it is taller though and the bulk I don't actually notice, although I am a guy and not wearing skinny jeans. The only complaints I have is the no headphone jack, and the fingerprint sensor moved to the back, it was perfect on the side!

The Z3 still performs like a champ but it's stuck on Marshmallow - It's annoying, because I'm sure it could handle Oreo. I don't really want a phone that due to a lack of security updates is no longer secure. The XZ2 Compact is way too expensive and no headphone jack! Why did you remove it sony?!

Yes, Z3 compact is still a great phone but I think the lack of updates will slowly kill it. There's probably a custom oreo rom you could install from xda... But that can end badly if you brick your device.
As for no headphone socket on their latest phones...I think Sony are trying to get people to buy their wireless headphones at £50 plus! I remember their early handsets didn't have a 3.5mm headphone jack either, they finally listened to customers and they have put one on their phones for the last few years... Now it's gone again!
Still running my z3 compact on lollipop, don't know if I will upgrade any time soon. Still very quick and the battery life is amazing.
Thanks for the info Mattia, I'm aware of that oreo rom but like you say it could be risky to try! I hate it when companies make dumb choices on the consumers behalf, there was no absolutely no reason to remove the headphone jack on the xz2, and it's not like its a slim phone!

I'm tempted to get the xz1 compact but I wonder if the price will drop further now that the Nokia 8 is under £300.

2 years is generally good by other manufacturers' standards, can't think of one who promises longer. Nokia have gotten good press by offering 2 years. There are plenty issues with Sony phones but not that.

Same price at carphone warehouse for anyone who wants to pick it up from a store. Seriously considering this due to its form factor

Well spotted. Might be worth listing separately. Amazon probably dropped their price in order to price match carphone warehouse. Black and pink available through Amazon. CPW also have it in blue.
Using an XZ1 Compact now. No lag on Oreo like with the XZ or Z5c on Lollipop. It is a fantastic phone with a unique identity and great battery. I'm disappointed with the design language and lack of 3.5mm on the XZ2c as well as the cost. Paid 220 for my XZ1c through trade and no regrets, 330 new is a bargain. My mild disappointment is 32GB onboard not 64GB like its bigger brother.

Would I be right in saying it has a micro SD card slot?

Yes, you can use a micro sd to boost memory. 32gb onboard is a bit shy.

Thanks for your feedback on the xz1 compact. Sounds like you rate it highly. I might treat myself and get one. I've read a few comments online about the WiFi disconnecting randomly... Have you experienced this? I think it's an android issue rather than this phone specifically.

I am using it now. Best Android handset I’ve had, it has near zero lag unlike my XZ and Z5 before and not a lot of bloatware unlike every Samsung. Yes, the WiFi is a bit funny at times but I think this is the scourge of s****y public WiFi hotspots that it randomly tries to connect to while I’m out and about rather than a poor device. My iPhone does it too, I’ve had no disconnects I couldn’t account for, put it that way. If you buy from Amazon you can always return it easily anyway. I am very pleased with it, the screen isn’t all that small and it’s quite nice it fitting into your pocket without looking stupid too.
I tried it in the shop and the display is practically the same as the z3c, aesthetically it's not world's apart either. They've changed the way that you insert the sd card, it now sits in a pull out tray which feels a bit cheap. Basically it's an z3c with a fingerprint scanner, some unnecessary design tweaks and a modern spec.

Well spotted. You should create a separate deal for it. Free replica football shirt too!
