It's definitely compact, 5" screen, looks like a good buy for anyone who wants a small phone with a high end processor (845) decent screen, ip68 water resistant etc.

Getting Android 10 according to gsmarena review

Oh yeah tcb currently £15 giffgaff refurbished so would potentially be a fiver cheaper to get a new SIM with £10 on it, plus obviously you get the top-up to use as you like.

Good specs, good price. Hea... Oh, there's no headphone jack. Ruddy heck, Sony.
I have a Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact and it's a great phone.

Been looking for a XZ1 Compact or XZ2 Compact for my wife.

Sadly going for Refurbished is only option now. However, £199 sounds a bit steep.

Such a pity Sony haven't continued making newer versions of the compact phones. I don't want or need anything larger and screen size is perfect.

Already has Android 10, although it's not been perfect the past few weeks. Good phone though, had one since launch. Looking at an upgrade this year but it's still plenty fast enough for what most people will want to do with it.

If it comes with all accessories then the headphone adaptor plugs into the charging port. If not then they are a fiver on ebay. That is if you still use headphones with cables.
Not bad but the full-size XZ2 has been down to £99 recently so unless you really need something small it’s hard to justify twice the price. Also no wireless charging and it’s a pretty tubby phone, it certainly feels chunky compared to past Compact efforts.

Yeah, I bought my XZ2 proper for £99 and by today's standards that feels compact anyway.
