blistering hot

Don't want another credit check

How does this work if it's £18 p/m over 24 months? Shouldn't it be £432?

given heat. surprised this hasn't got heat, is there any other offer going on?

no i have checked but the note 3 is back in stock in black for £216 no lg g3 tho these 2 deals are the best. other mentions are htc m8 back in stock for 240

Great price

I've tried to get someone on their chat thing to confirm you can keep the handset it you cancel but it's like pulling teeth!

if this true would be so handy

I'm on O2 with my 18 years old son not being able to pass a credit check (due to him not having a job until his current 16month employment). So this would stop the constant "get me a contract on your name".

So this definitely works without any repercussions or fees later? thanks

It's not about cancelling in the traditional sense that incurs an early termination fee.

O2 Refresh splits up the monthly payment into a device plan and airtime plan. It's aimed to enable you to pay off for the device at any time and get a different phone/plan. However, paying off the device plan then entitles you to one of three things:

1. Keep the airtime and pay only that amount monthly
2. Take out a new phone and plan
3. Close (cancel) the airtime plan

To get deals like this, what you do as soon as you get the device is:

1. DO NOT ACTIVATE OR USE THE SIM PROVIDED.
2. Call them and tell them you want to pay off the device plan.
3. Once the agent has finished processing that transaction, tell them you want to cancel the airtime plan. Sometimes, you need to remind them that since you're cancelling the airtime during the cooling off period, you would expect not to be charged for the first month's bill. Most times, this charge does get applied but you just need to call in and request a refund or log into your O2 account, check whether it's showing as in credit when you click the account listed under "Disconnected Bill" and go to o2.co.uk/fin…und to enter the relevant details requesting a refund (the amount in credit).

Nah, this would be signing up for a new contract with them.

Only pink left.

Device cash price 153.99 if you want to pay it outright so I guess you have to keep the direct debit running to get it for this price

Had a chat with O2, I think you end up paying 153.99. Spoke to them on the phone as well as online chat.
My transcript of a chat with them:

Welcome to O2. Someone will be with you soon.

You're through to 'Ish'

Ish: at 19:03:39

Hello, it's Ish here. I hope you're well. What can I do for you?

zuber: at 19:03:52

Hi Ish,

zuber: at 19:04:53

I would like to know if I have a refresh plan, can I cancel the airtime contract within 14 days at no cost

zuber: at 19:05:15

if reception around my area is bad for example

zuber: at 19:05:40

but carry on paying for the device

Ish: at 19:06:21

You can pay off your device plan and cancel the contract anytime you wish.

zuber: at 19:07:03

what if I want to carry on paying monthly for the device rather than pay off in full

Ish: at 19:07:57

That's not possible.

ah ok, understood. thanks for your help

SUCH A SICK DEAL

all oos

price needs to be edited in the title

Pink is still showing as being in stock

pink just bought!

All oos now.

Gutted I missed this again

I got a white one on the last deal posted a couple of weeks back, for £153.99. That was an amazing deal, this is unbelievable! My phone came as new, but missing the original box and accessories. It also showed as out of stock for me but I kept checking back every couple of hours and eventually it showed as in stock, if only very briefly and I grabbed one. Heat!

Did this with the Lumia 1020 to get it for £144. Easy peasy.

You enter in to 2 separate contracts: the device plan and the airtime plan.

Receive the phone and ring o2 on 202. Tell them you wish to pay your device plan in full and they will charge you 24 months’ worth of £5. Then just say you wish to cancel the airtime plan. You have a 14 day cooling off period where you can cancel the airtime plan without having to give any reason.

scorching price tbh. The size and specs are mega appealing to those who cant like big phones. Great premium feel to it too

*GREEN

*may be slightly touchy about everyone calling her phone yellow when it is in fact lime green*

I ordered a white one yesterday and received it earlier today, super quick delivery and the phone looks brand new. Thanks OP!

I like how the phone is almost exactly the same size as the Xperia Arc S I was using before, I was considered buying a OnePlus One but the Z1 compact like the Arc S fits my small hands far better.

is it worth for £130, or get the S4 mini for £96?

Yes, Specs looks vast difference. Can't find how much Z1 compact Payg normally cost.

S4 mini new is £120, refurbished is £96, so not much difference.

I just rang o2, paid off the device for £120 but I'm having to do things differently to cancel the airtime and unlock the phone. They made me activate the sim and despite my insistence, they refused to refund me for the first months bill. I need to have the sim in the phone for 7 days, and then call them back to cancel the airtime properly. The customer advisor said he'd send me some important instructions via email, but I haven't received that yet.

Hmm... I'm not sure if they've changed things within the last two weeks but up to two weeks ago, I used this same process. Perhaps, they've tried to change things in order to cut down on people getting these kinds of deals.

Did you read the cancellation rights in the terms when you signed up? You may need to read back through the agreement to see whether they've changed the terms. The thing is though, under Distance Selling Regulations, you're entitled to cancel within 7 working days for a full refund so this may just be a customer advisor being either an idiot or uninformed.

I just got off the phone from them now.
They took my card details and paid off the phone no problems. No funny 7 day stuff here. They did say they would have to chage me the line rental from the time the phone was sent, so 2 days line rental and the rest of the month will be refunded asap. No issues and only tooo me 5 minutes!

What about unlocking the phone? My phone needs a code to unlock it and I was told that I need to use the phone for 1-7 days first, something about them "finding" the phone on the network, or something like that.

I spoke to them on chat about this. They were happy to unlock it, but because I had not used the sim and cancelled it it wouldn't work. The girl I spoke to said she needed to activate it and then she would unlock it if I went back to chat k Monday. Said it wouldn't cost me anything to have the sim temporarily activated. We shall see, but she was so keen to please me. I'll let you guys know!
