Another O2 Refresh Deal. Potential cost £376.49 for unlocked Z2. Even cheaper if you buy the £100 Sony Xperia Z1 tablet and sell on ebay.

1. Pre-order the Sony Xperia Z2 in Black or Purple through TCB currently paying £151.50, last day for exclusive rate

Tariff Unlimited mins and text, 8GB data £19.99 upfront cost £48 monthly cost ( £20 for phone plan, £28 for airtime plan)

They are talking rubbish. Remind them it is a Refresh contract and that once the phone part of the contract you can cancel the airtime part of the contract without any penalties.

Yeah I just spoke to them, looks like the person who cancelled my account messed up, it was put through as a normal contract cancellation instead of O2 Refresh. They're going to sort it out.

Me too, I was pretty angry when I saw that figure lol.
tcb only payable for £10.50 the rest has disappeared from my account, not happy
I've also been charged £503.58 termination fee... I'll have to get that sorted!
Words can't describe how much I hate o2 now.

They actually took out £484 yesterday even though they told me I won't get charged..

That's pretty poo
Why didn't you cancel your DD as a precaution
My advise now is going forward, Tell the bank the payment has been taken in error and you wish to make a claim on the direct debit indemnity guarantee
This should reverse the charge fairly swiftly

Thanks for the info, Yeah I forgot to cancel the DD as they assured me no further payments will be taken.

Spoke to O2 who have now sent a request in for a refund, been told it can take 3 working days for this to be approved......
I've also been charged £484. I didn't cancel the direct debit as I was due a refund, and thought that removing the direct debit may jeopardise receiving the refund. I hope they re-pay quickly!
same here charged me over £350 for the remaining contract

Same here, cancelled last month and they send me an email with my last bill £360... called O2 that same day, the lady told me there must be a mistake on the calculation bla bla but she suggested to cancel my direct debit (did it the same day)... this was 2 weeks ago, connected on the weekend to check if they did make the re-calculation... but still the same bill, although they have not contacted me again since then... lets see.

BTW, Im a bit confused about this... some time ago I read that you can cancel your 24 month contract by paying off the phone contract and then just cancelling the airtime contract... is this right? I cant find this on the O2 refresh website anymore...

I got in touch, and they added the refund, though it took quite a while to come through.

It's seriously bad for them to charge a customer twice for this kind of money, and to be so slow over a refund is also very annoying.

Not happy, but glad it didn't cause me problems & they did eventually refund!
