Mine cracked. When I walked into the edge of a table with it in my front pocket...
Sent it off to Sony with the sob story of it cracked after shutting down due to overheating when filming in 4k (true). Repaired for free.
Would be a idea if the site allowed comments to be voted cold.

Got to be the most self selecting survey in history. Why not say of the 100 people who entered a watch repair shop, 98 of them said their watch was broken
None of this is true - I updated, rolled back, rooted and kept my DRM keys and low light camera performance.
Here's how:

I got a Z2 after dabbling with a One plus and an S5 around Xmas and its a great phone, noise cancelling, waterproof, fab battery, front facing speakers, ps4 compatible. The Z3 compact looks great too, very tempted.
If you're tired of near phablet sized phones with pitiful battery life but still want something with big smartphone performance, pick one of these up.
Dropped it a few times and I was relieved to find no damage.
I had a few issues and then the phone died, I think the main killer in the end was water, I tested it and it failed and Sony say that is my fault and refused to repair under warranty, I followed all the rules and Sony not only did nothing but also blamed me for the failure rather than their defective product.
Of every company I have ever dealt with then Sony have been the worst by a country mile.
I've been using a Casemate 'Barely' since I got it and I've dropped it A LOT. No cracks or issues at all.

Phone is useless now, battery drains in less than 12 hours, got 36 hours pre update, silent or priority mode is confusing and annoying but worst is apps close immediately when switching, get a text or email you want to check in the middle of a game or another app, closes immediately, but everything stays in recent apps forever until restart, no quick way of closing all(without rooting), you have to do one by one including every web page/tab. Great phone now ruined by update. Thousands of complaints about lollipop update so hopefully Sony will sort so or else I'll get a new phone
Going by my experience of the one m8 I purchased from Vodafone that stayed unlocked after 2 firmware upgrades so you should be fine
Yep separate thing. You can root / flan etc and sim unlock will remain.
I vow to never go back to a phone bordering on paperback size while phones specced like the Z3 compact exist. You have to draw a line somewhere with bulging smartphone dimensions and that time is now. Bigger is not better.
The back as mentioned makes it a slippery little devil so I had a nice cover on it. aliexpress.com/sna…574 I really liked the holographic/diamond like finish
My Z3 (non compact) significantly drains quicker on Lollipop compared to kitkat unfortunately. Tried monitoring background apps etc but nothing seems to be much different other than the battery pretty much not even lasting a full day compared to over 2 days previously
I'm happy to report that I've managed to buy one in Watford. They didn't had any available for Sim only, but they moved one from contracts. When I've asked the price, I was told £385 - then I've asked to check online and they come back with £235 (including the top up). Great price.
I have had no issues with 5.0.2, the battery has been just as good and it's still very fast.,
Rung the Bristol Whiteladies Road store yesterday and they wanted £225 + £10 topup + £20 to unlock. No deal.
Just returned from the Bristol Broadmead store a couple of hours ago. Props to stuartbaker80, I looked for the lovely Sophie, got chatting to her and she was happy to sell me a "converted from contract" Z3 Compact, no topup, with unlock code, all for £225! Deal!! Plus it's always great to speak to a girl who knows her tech
Sorry ramper777, guess you were either unlucky, or the people you spoke to didn't warm to you enough.
I think the offer finished today 4th.
Easy unlock,though. £8 on ebay
i didnt put pucture up.
Went into croydon store thursday eve £225 pay as u go plus £10 freedom top up.
Thats music to my ears >_
Maybe you could be kind enough to help with my question above. Thanks in advance.

"Following the trail of breadcrumbs left around the Internet we find a little survery on the XDA Developers Forum consisting of owners of the Xperia Z3. Of the 1369 respondants of the survey 376 are reporting that the screen or the back have cracked with no apparent reason attached to it, such as dropping the phone or placing it in a tight pocket."
