Here is the Sony Xperia Z3 refurb in a Mint Silver. If you go onto the deal and click on the 10GB offer with 19.99 upfront then it works out at 10x24 + 19.99 = 259.99

Thank you to iceboy who pointed that out!

Order the phone for this, and once received, cancel the airtime plan but pay off the phone plan fully. You will then have a nice Sony Xperia Z3 to use willy nilly!

This phone is dustproof and waterproof, so good if you drop your phone in the toilet a lot! Also, brilliant lasting battery and amazing camera and screen! Brilliant for the price...

I've got it too, I even convinced the girlfriend to get one too. Absolutely smashing phones, practical, not too big and a buttery smooth interface!

Because it's not £288, it's a phone contract with a lot of hassle.

I don't know where the hassle part comes from but everyone deserves their opinion.

It IS £288, and in my experience I have never had an ounce of hassle. I've done O2 refresh deals in the past and it's as simple as ringing up and sorting it out in a 5 minute phone call or popping into the shop.

Kinda false pretences.

shame, is a great price.

i can never get to pass the credit check.

Great phone. I'm using one at the moment; there genuinely don't seem to be any flaws or comprises with the Z3.

The o2 refresh deal is a piece of cake to do, as long as your credit worthy. I've bagged a number of bargains since it was introduced.

great phone! heat from me

Cold.

If you select 10GB price plan with £19.99 upfront payment, monthly device plan drops to £10 a month

£10 x 24 = 240 + 19.99 = £269.99

I've amended so your finding is on. I didn't realise the phone plan dropped with different tarrifs. Thanks for pointing it out!

you can get a free trial at experian to check why. You probably need to find some credit/lender/utility and then build up a good credit rating/history.

Be careful on refresh. I only had a case resolved from AUGUST last year with these clowns and they ruined my credit score. Thankfully I had it reversed out and have raised with the ombudsman who are investigating 02s shocking customer service

hmmm im going to get my credit file

This is a cracking deal and I would have definitely bought one.... But I recently found out that the screen can self crack!!!

It's hard to believe but I saw it myself. My friend left his phone on the desk and when he picked it up the back (glass cover) had hair line cracks all over. It wasn't dropped as there is no point of impact.

He called Sony but they told him that warranty will only cover it if it's not user fault otherwise they charge a fee for delivery back etc..

This seems hot to me! Could you not try and get cashback with quidco and topcashback? Just a couple of questions, are you sure you can just pay off the phone and then not have to pay/ carry on with any of the airtime contract? and what are the refurbished phones like? I've read that it's just phones which have been given back after 14 days? If so the phone is almost like new then? Finally i'm guessing the phone isn't going to be unlocked so how easy is the phone to unlock? Sorry about all of the questions, thanks.

I don't think they payout the cashback, but you could try!
Yes. You can pay off the device plan (as that's the purpose of o2 refresh, you can get a new device whenever you choose) and since it's within 14 days you can cancel the air time side of the contract!
The phones I've had in the past were near enough mint, but that was just my experience, and unlock you could get from o2 I think, or there's unlock codes available for a tenner

Hope that helps a bit

Yeah I didn't think they would pay out tbh, oh right sounds good to me! I think I will buy it in the morning, thanks for all of your help! Hot from me! And a good find considering I've been looking for a z3 either on its own or on a contract ever since that Tesco deal finished.

This or the g3??

Be careful with refresh basically shows up as a loan on your credit file and phone contract seperate. No good if your looking for a mortgage or loan in the future.

Wow that's really bad! I'm only 18 so yeah if that's the case then I'm not risking buying it.

Nonsense. Pay it in a timely manner and it can,in fact, boost your credit score.

Phone price is now showing as 12 pounds a month which is 288 but after you added it to the basket it shows at the very bottom that to buy it our right the phone cost is 297 pounds.

Awesome price exactly what im after apart from the credit check part (moving house!!) Heat added!

How does one cancel the airtime plan?

zayf

Free unlocking from O2 for contract customers

Brilliant phone, can't fault it!

Make sure you use manual mode for the best results from the camera.

I did the O2 refresh and cancel on the HTC M8 last month. Simple process and an easy way to get a phone half price ish

I simply don't believe you....

I did 5x Refresh deals over the past year for family members. O2 NEVER sent the correct final bill -- instead, they gave £500 or so early termination fee bills. Despite getting those errors resolved, O2 still debited the £500 on 2 of those occasions (I learnt from the mistake on the final 3 contracts, and just cancelled the direct debit -- though I have since discovered that this can adversely affect your credit history).

O2 Refresh is a good way to get a phone cheap....but please don't tell us that it is as easy a 5 minute phone call. It just isn't. (I say that having just had to speak to O2 less than 6 hours ago to find out why they charged a £150 cancellation fee on my mum's 1020 account!! The first live chat agent insisited the contract wasn't even a Refresh one!)

Agreed.

I got the Z2 from Argos for £299 few weeks ago, really impressed with the latest Sony's, some great tech.
