I have been looking around for deals on the new sony range as my sony z1 compact is on its last legs. Came across this deal via uswitch on Mobiles.co.uk

Deal is: Sony Xperia Z5 Compact
no upfront cost
£26.99 per month
unlimited text
unlimited minutes
2gb of data (EE normal 4g)

I understand that a lot of people need more than 2gb of data, however I currently manage only having 1gb so this will be alright for some.

Hot. ee r the best
This or S6 Edge for the same money?
Decent price shame it's for new contracts only. Right faff porting in and out if you want to keep your number and I don't want to pay 144.99 quid upfront just to upgrade for the same tariff
Isn't EE a combination of T-Mobile and orange? aka the two worst phone companies in the history of man.
tempting
this the edge is a joke phone.the compact is brilliant battery last so much longer.i have the z3 compact and its fantastic
Please do a trustpilot.com search on this website, they have awful awful reviews.

Does the Z5 compact last a lot longer than full Z5?
i imagine it will yes the battery life of the z3 compact is epic.and the z5 compact with same screen and slightly bigger battery will be at least as good as z3 compact
Decent price if you spend most of your time on WiFi otherwise 2gb is a joke to use a smartphone on...

Lower screen res (720p), large battery, and smaller screen. It's no surprise the compact models out last a larger phone with a QHD screen.

Z5 is 1080 not quad HD.

I didn't say the Z5 was QHD, Tranceazure3933 post above spoke about S6 edge battery. I believe I quoted the wrong comment of theirs.

Fair enough but it isn't just the screen that Sony take advantage of to increase the battery life, you can select how far you want to go but even in standard Samina mode my Z2 has lost juat 28% since 4pm and my Z3 tablet that I've been using all evening and night since 6.15pm is still on 51%.

Ain't no battery saving party like a Sony battery saving party....

Great range of phones the Xperia Z's

Err yeah, apart from the Z3 which has the snapdragon 810, causing the entire phone to overheat. Shame, as the phone is excellent otherwise.

I haven't gone for this deal yet, still trying to justify it in my head. I'm only paying £7pm sim only atm. So not sure whether to wait and get the Z3 compact when it is cheaper.
I like sony because they are still including a micro sd slot so you don't have to pay an over the odds just for more memory, excellent battery life, simplistic OS, decent camera and the fact that it is IP68 rated is important to me as I work as a plumber so don't have to worry about it getting wet or covered in dust.
Cheaper than my Z3 contract
If I wasn't still in contract on my z1 compact I'd bite.
EE = Cold
I want the Premium!
ee are good. never had any issue, 4g always works.

I second that, dropped calls a many.
The price is ok for what it is - except for additional data. If you use 4GB a month, that is 15 pounds extra per month, or 360 pounds over the contract, bringing the total to 1007.76. Insane!

Or you could just go for the deal here with 5GB of usage for an extra fiver!
Tempting since Three just upped their All in One 15 to 20 quid. I have Z3 compact though so not sure if it's worth the upgrade?

Really don't think that the S6 is a joke phone, far superior in every way compared to Sony's range of phones, Sony's interface is the worst of all Android Skins, also the build quality may be good but they are very fugly, but just think if you Carry one people might think your a secret agent If you want a phone purely based on battery life there are much cheaper alternatives out there.

Also have used Mobiles.co.uk many times and have never had a problem, also owned by Carphone warehouse as everyone knows, also the majority of the time people only leave reviews when they are unhappy, just think when was the last time you left a good review for a company that you bought your mobile phone from???
Also would like to add EE are fine, they do offer the best value around, especially the S6 Edge at £26.99 but you really need to check your area as their coverage can be patchy, Vodafone for example is the best where i live, walking the dogs in fields around a small village i get 4G pretty much everywhere.

Yes no Problem its in Gold which i think is the best Color by far and all the major reviews agree, its also £25 upfront but its nothing in the grand scheme of things -

I'm hoping this is a sign the Z3 compact will drop a bit more soon. The overheating foes concern me though. I've been trying to fond out if it's a constant problem or just happening under heavy workloads, but a lot of what I've read so far doesn't say one way or the other.

last time i wrote a good review qas for phone i got three week ago.the z3 i have has been brilliant and if i had a chance between a z5 compact and s6 edge id choose z5 for three main reasons.battery life.design.and sound.sony are one of a few companys with common sense when it comes to screen resolution.hd is fine for this size and full hd for the bigger z5
