Just checked Vodafone and there prices gone back up to 400 so guess this is the cheapest out there
Bought this on the Vodafone deal when it was at £259 but paid another £13 to get it unlocked quick, so this is a great hassle free price, especially now the Vodafone deal has expired. Fantastic little phone, very impressed with it

Seeing a lot of reviews saying it overheats and can't take intense activity. I already have these issues with the Z1 Compact, not sure I want to pay £279 for a less than great phone
This phone had an excellent fingerprint scanner built in to the power button and the battery life is really good too.

Only had it for a week but had no overheating issues as yet
A lot of people also saying that they prefer the z3 compact over this one due to various heating and performance issues. It deterred me anyway.
if you are not already with giffgaff then you will need to add another £10 on top as you need to purchase a goodybag along with the phone, this should really be put in the title as the majority of people on here are most probably not with giffgaff
Currently have this phone - love the size of it, camera is pretty great and PREVIOUSLY performed amazingly.

After the most recent update Sony dished out, it's caused havoc with my phone. Performance now sucks, the phone overheats and they got rid of the previous 'stamina' mode, which allowed my battery to last 2 days or so with average usage.

Pity, as previously I loved it to bits - Unless there is an update very soon, I'll be getting shot of it!

Edit: This may not be the case for ALL handsets on the latest update, but is my personal experience, so can only comment on that :-)

A lot of money for not much Spec...
fantastic phone if I use auto brightness at 50% and WiFi I get 8 hours screen time off a full charge.its never overheated or slowed down with what I use it for.never tried 4k seems pointless.hmmm screen at 4.6 seems small at first coming from a 5.5 g.flex 2 but soon adapt and it's very snappy.the HD screen with snapdragon 810 can handle anything a snapdragon 820 can with quad HD.as per usual get a gel case and tempered glass common sense with an expensive phone.plus keeps resale value for what 3 quid outlay.install nova launcher and hide all Sony crap you can't disable.alwo nova prime let's you double tap to sleep and Sony has double tap to wake built in so you can give it LG phones best feature.the fingerprint sensor works only if your finger is dry and clean they waste of time to be honest.

I'm using a Z3C and had a chance to check out my friends Z5C last week, prefer the Z3C and my battery performance was way better than his.

Can you not just order a free sim, then top up with £5? Meaning you're a member then....
Too expensive. Better spec phones out there 1/2 the price.

Sorry, in the end I decided against getting this as it uses the Snapdragon 810 which is known to have heat issues.

Yeah me to. I emailed giffgaff and told thrm. They credited my account with £20to cover the loss of the charger.

The charger u need is a uch10 which does the quallcomm quick charge.

Also mines was rev 4, got the update yesterday for. 253 build

What is the relevance of the rev number? I'm thinking of ordering and need to understand any issues
I would suspect hardware revisions/improvments from early feedback from owners.

Phone workslike a treat , however since the recent update, rhe ph9ne can get hot when being used and in my case back light nearly on full
Is this phone likely to come down in price with the imminent release of the Sony Xperia X Compact? What do people think?
