This is the cheapest price that actually ships from the UK, not those stupid business based in china and then you'll have to pay 20% VAT on top of the price and its international version not UK. Good price for this phone. If you have a NUS student card might be worth signing up to prime for 5% off (£26.25).

Android doesn't support 4k just yet, so the standard resolution is just 1080p unless you are using the sony video or album apps where it is actually 4k.

What a load of utter rubbish, Android does support 4k! Nvidia Shield TV ring any bells?

There's no point in using 4k all the time, it would simply burn through the battery in no time so it only switches to 4k when it needs to.

Great price tbf and a cracking phone, clearly the idiots are out voting this deal cold.
Btw noticed there's one with a damaged box in Amazon deals, say used but I'll put money on it isn't for £477.74.

The Xperia z5 premium runs android 5, 4K support only came out in android 6...
"The platform now allows apps to request that the display resolution be upgraded to 4K rendering on compatible hardware." So apps would have to request 4K it still wouldn't be native. See here: developer.android.com/abo…tml

Support for 4k been around a while....
Extract from Jan 2015!

"A number of smartphones available today support video recording and playback at 4K resolution. Technically, for recording a video in 4K, both hardware and software play a major role. The smartphone camera should have at least an 8 megapixel sensor to capture videos in the lowest 4K standard . And to record videos in native 4K (4096 x 2160), the camera sensor should be 8.8 megapixel or more. 4K recording also requires suitable processing power. As of this writing, all 4K-recording capable smartphones are powered by either Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 or its successors (or an equivalent) processor.

For native 4K video support, suitable OS / firmware, Android 4.4 KitKat for Android devices and Lumia Denim update for Lumia Windows Phone, is required for video recording and playback at 4K resolution"
