Sony did Smartphones, who knew
any tax or delivery charge?
very unconfortable phone to hold, really poor design
Good find, think I might actually order this instead of Nokia 8

Had it since launch, great phone. Had no complaints at all, love the angular look
Anyone know what best to pay in pounds or euros?
I went to this from the Z3, its very medioka and unimpressive. I loved the Z3 and couldn't put it down when I first got it but this XZ premium is just meh. I only paid £290 due to an error.
Had one.got rid of. Noticable grid on screen.Paint on both edges comes off without a reason uncovering cheap plastic.Seems every generation has screen burns. In 6 months of use it lloked worse than cheap chinese phone.Customer support was good tho. Fixed all the issues on warranty and i sold it as long as it came back. Performance is what you can expect from it.

I've had mine for 6+ months and had none of those issues you've "apparently" faced, also no plastic here

Generally Euros, but depends if you have a decent credit card (clarity, some nationwide, aqua reward - I have all 3). If not could be close call either way.
Had this phone since launch...mostly impressed but some annoyances such as really buggy Bluetooth (connect to more than one device ever and it's a nightmare to connect to any older device than the most recent one) and genuinely uncomfortable to hold, fingerprint sensor is very picky and it's corners create holes in your trousers (4 times this has happened to me)

But, for a flagship, it is still a good phone. Powerful yet great battery life (can usually go about 2 days of moderate use before I have to charge), camera is impressive as well as the slow mo cam too, but the best thing I love about this phone is simply how durable it is. I'm clumsy with my phone and thought the best thing to do was NOT to buy a case or screen protector...it took 6 months of occasionally dropping this phone onto the floor (by accident...remember, I am clumsy) before any notable damage (and before I finally bought a protector and cover)

I am wearing a pair of jeans right now that has a hole created by my old z2. The zx premium I have now is creating a hole on the other side.

My Z3 was durable but I must be unlucky with this one as the first time I dropped it the screen scratched and 2 small chips to the body, had my Z3 for 3 years , still not a single scratch on it.
A great all round phone, no complaints from me!

As much as this was slated for a 'poor' lowlight camera, I've taken some incredible shots in manual mode.

Anh questions, just ask.

The phone flies through everything and updates have been great.

HDR support is a plus too

Is it overheating like models before?

What is the overheating due to?
I had the LG V30 and the Galaxy S8 and I sent them both back and got the XZ Premium.

I got 'very good' condition from Music Magpie on Amazon and it was almost perfect, so really good deal.

Reasons why it's an amazing phone:

- APTX HD (a must have these days IMO)
- 4K HDR screen (might be a gimmick, but it is the SHARPEST display on the market)
- True sRGB, for the professionals out there
- Stereo Speakers with good sound
- When you hold the phone you dont accidently press the screen, it's got large borders which is a GOOD thing.
- Really fast and handles games better than most phones out there
- If you decide to go naked, the phone is actually beautiful
- Camera/slow mo camera are good quality and very useful

Reasons why it isn't so great:

- No double tap to wake OR always on display
- Brightness is good enough, but not amazing, so has to be nearly full when outside

Might not be to everyone's taste, but it's probably the best phone on the market for viewing media.

Havent tested it but there is a youtube vid comparing this with the old and apparently its in a new league and will last hours before overheating.

gsmarena.com/son…php

From gsmarena "What's most important is the real-life performance and the Sony Xperia XZ Premium performs splendidly - the phone is snappy and is a real pleasure to use. But does it run cool? Sony has employed a new thermal-spreading architecture - there are no heat pipes, just a special 3-layer copper plating running across the entire back and taking the heat from the evenly spread chipset, camera, and display driver across the body. The new component design has allowed for great heat distribution, so you will never feel the Xperia XZ Premium running hot even when watching 4K HDR videos for a long time. It's one of the coolest flagships around, and we give Sony the credit for that."

The LCD panel has Sony Bravia technology and produces far better colours then any other device. It isn't as saturated but that is a good thing. The OLED thing is a bit of a gimmick, it's nice to see the pixels turned off but not a deal breaker.

Also if you get a slim case with a texture like rubber or something it's the same as every other phone.

it is not about phone's surface itself, it is an akward phone's shape which is main reason why the phone is unconfortable to hold with one hand.
