Are these really relevant now days with Isolated motherboard sound cards built in . Little bit more and you can have decent motherboard with audio isolation, decent caps and less interference.

Indeed, I did wonder... Can't really remember the last time I had to think about buying a soundcard. Guess there must be something special about this that would appeal to some...

Got a z series card about a year ago wouldn't play nice with Windows 10. Support was minimum with a fair few in the forums in the same boat. Haven't tried it in about 3 months so might be all up and running now but cold from me just for the aggro.

Creative were always beset with driver issues for as long as I can remember and their support is rubbish I had a top of the range EMU card but it had serious issues .It really depends what you need from a sound card. I have an Audient id22 in my little studio , it has world class preamps at a price point that is very low for top quality gear. The difference between Audient and anything made by creative is simply night and day But hey it doesn't stop them selling thousands of items a week.

2-channel RCA output? Really? Surely HDMI audio out to a good integrated amp/receiver is a better way of doing things?

This card isn't really aimed at every day people though. It's more geared toward professionals who need studio grade recording and playback capabilities. To vote cold because "a motherboard has them built in" is just daft. Don't motherboards have like.. one line-in connection?

No matter how good audio is on a motherboard it isn't anyway near a dedicated card

It's like saying my CPU has a built in GPU no point buying a GFX card

I think your research or knowledge is a bit outdated. Try this youtu.be/d1r…sy0.
Good use of metaphors why not actually quote a source.

Before buying it's worth thinking about what you are buying a dedicated spu for. For gaming and media the sound quality is better, clearer, more defined and the sbk/virtual sound works surprisingly very well on an analogue set of cans with decent drivers or even a decent set of speakers. The zxr isn't a huge upgrade over the zx in all honesty. You will most certainly hear an improve in audio over any motherboard on the market, but you'll most noticeably hear the difference if the volume is set between mid to loud. Also worth noting if you do use a headset that is USB based, you'll be throwing your money away.
