bargain, i have this and the sound is fantastic, thought i did well getting these for £160 as usually well over £200

The only niggle i have is it does not automatically turn on , you have to press the button, my old speakers would come on when i switched on the master plug socket all my pc etc is plugged into

Wrong picture? Image displayed is a Polk item... Which I would buy for £148
Agreed and heated, this is quite simply the best soundbar you can get for PC and also very competent even as a home entertainment sound bar having native support for PS4 over the USB and delivering a lot more punch than it's modest size and wattage suggest.

As it connects via USB unlike most sound bars or speakers, the quality (or lack of) of your sound card, or for most motherboard audio doesn't matter as this is effectively like a good quality external USB sound card and speaker set combined. Really clever set up!

Also, though I normally find RGB lighting a pointless gimmick it actually works very well here (though you can have it off if preferred)....

Sorry to tag you both, but is this easy enough to move around? I've been looking to upgrade both my computer speakers (had £20 Logitech speakers since 2010) and my 50" Philips Ambilight TV which is used purely for PS4/X1 and then streaming services through them, don't use TV at all.

As opposed to getting a decent TV soundbar and PC speakers, could I move these easy enough between desk and entertainment centre? Or is there a lot of cabling?

Thanks!
Looks like it's sold out already. I put an order in and may cancel, need to do some more research. Seen these posted on the site before so I know its a big saving!

Well I'd say the sound bar itself is very easy to move around, but as it comes with a wired subwoofer and uses a mains adaptor rather than a standard figure 8 lead, it might get a bit tiresome doing it often and the subwoofer, while pretty small as they go is a bit weighty for moving any distance repeatedly.

I think you would need two separate set ups there unless you only use one of the rooms very infrequently, then I suppose it could work but definitely not ideal....

Thanks for the feedback. Think I'm going to stick with my order! Looks like PS4 plugs in via USB and Xbox via Optical cable so hopefully there's an option on the remote to swap between those inputs.

As for PC I'll just stick with my headphones. As nice as it would be to use I mainly use my headphones for talking with friends so not as essential on there. Maybe I'll pick up a cheap PC speaker down the line. Cheers guys!
Doh no stock

No it's not A Yamaha soundbar will be much better quality than this.

You did know you can use non PC centric manufacturers with a PC?

Huge sweeping over generalisation much? You do know Yamaha make a whole range of sound bars and not just one don't you? Yes some of the top Yamaha sound bars may be better, but then they probably aren't under £200 either. A lot of the budget Yamaha (or any other consumer electronic brand) soundbars, which are a fairer comparison to this, will be at best as good or worse than this.

I actually meant best soundbar made with PC use in mind though. Of course, you can use any sound bar or amplifiier/receiver on PC and you might get better value that way (though I still say this is hard to beat at £150) but there are some decent advantages to a PC specific solution like this such as the sound quality not being dependant on your PC sound bar and more control over effects and equalisation and the customisation lighting. Small things maybe, but some ppl will care for them.

Also PC specific sound bars like this are of a more reasonable size to fit on the desk where as AV sound bars are often very long and even have a fair bit of depth, which could be a problem with limited desk space. Also they aren't designed for the close proximity that comes with PC use so effects that rely on distance such as virtual surround and atmos probably won't be experienced as intended....

'You do know Yamaha make a whole range of sound bars and not just one don't you?', doesn't make sense

'this is quite simply the best soundbar you can get for PC', again it's really not

Go on then, you have me intrigued, if you can link a better one for PC AND no more expensive than this one (this is a deals site) I'll be impressed...
