As a Clash fan I've been keeping an eye on this for a while, and finally succumbed at this price as opposed to the £130 release offering. Most likely won't be everyone's cup of tea so I expect to get slaughtered and frozen - but I thought a few fellow Clash fans might appreciate it

One of the reviews is very informative:

"I received my "Clash Sound System" box set today and was immediately impressed by the look, the weight and the quality of this collection. This is absolute heaven for a Clash fan and pretty much provides everything you could ever want in terms of musical content from the band. It's a beautifully presented piece of work and the music sounds fantastic.

Good price. .heat

Big Clash fan myself , heat.

I would like this but I cant help but feel there is something not quite right about a £65 punk box set.

Seems like a good price but as a fan of The Clash since 1977, I have original vinyl versions of most of this as well as CD versions and CDs of the retrospective releases so I kind of object to the statement, 'Simply put, this is an essential collection for any serious Clash fan...'

Why would I want to buy it all again just to get a cardboard box and a few stickers?

It's a product which was manufactured about 30 years after The Clash started to disintegrate and over a decade after Joe Strummer died. Any serious fan of The Clash would see that this is taking the pi$$.

Won't be everyone's cup of tea!? Yeah if you have a poor taste in music!

Yep who would have thought all those years back, you would have iggy selling insurance , rotten selling butter and punk LPs at £65, kinda wierd is all..............

Anyhoo to stick to the spirit of 77 I just popped over to a pond full of pirates and am listening as we speak

Is that a giant cigarette in the picture?

Most big Clash fans will have most of this anyway. But as an introduction to the 'Only band that ever mattered' then it's a heat from me!
