I ordered one a few weeks back for use as a PC speaker. I'm extremely impressed by the quality of sound

How would you rate it for small home cinema? Decent bass and balance?
Anker is definately a good make.

You'd probably want something a bit bigger/better tbh. This unit is really more suited for set up with a PC in a home office, a bedroom TV or as a music speaker in a teenagers bedroom. Brilliant for what it is at £40 though

Definitely get one with a bass box (2.1) for a home cinema or TV.
What about this one? I've been keeping an eye on it but there's not been much info posted.
I suspect this is the "real" price for this soundbar. Its only been on sale a bit over a month, and they did the usual sell at £99 for a month then reduce.

Is is easy to hook up? I.e. does it come with everything you need to hook up to your PC? Thinking about binning my ancient wired ones, so messy and take up so much space.

That's what I did! It comes with a digital optical cable and an aux/rca cable. But my pc has neither connection so I use Bluetooth. My pc doesn't have it built in, so I picked up a Bluetooth USB adapter for a couple of quid on ebay

That was going to be my next question! So I'd need to find a Bluetooth adapter. I'd prefer that over cables anyway, so just have to find one that's compatible. Cheers
Don't get these "sound bars". Its litterally 2 1 inch speakers inside a massive plastic enclosure... Then people go bonkers at supermarkets wrapping brocolli. This product would do the exact same in 2 little boxes with the size of an egg.

Also dont see this as a deal as the 2.1 versions of these soundbars hover on the 60-70 price point

Picked one up for this price on Prime day. Use it to improve the sound quality of the Kitchen TV and it does a decent job, definite improvement. Fairly compact too.
These are very impressive. Great value.

Sound bars improve the standard TV sound massively. My samsung TV gas good sound out the box, but my samsung sound bar (TV mate I think its called ) is like a home cinema. The bass from it is like a subwoofer. I love it when watching films. Anker is a solid brand but I have no idea of the sound quality on this
I wonder if this will drop in price? Looks like a more substantial unit with built in tweeters and subwoofers. amazon.co.uk/Sou…2ZC

Knowing absolutely nothing about soundboard except that I want one to improve my gaming experience and. What would people recommend. Thinking a smaller one for pc.to sit under my monitor and one for my PC that's larger. For reference it's a small room around size of 3.5 single beds side to side.

That's because TVs come with speakers the size of a coin. My point that soundbars have speakers that would fit in 2 2x2 inch cubes remains.
Is this worth the price? Thinking of getting a decent sound system for the living room for gaming and movies and ideally create a surround sound system.

Surround you need at least 6 speakers. 5 plus a subwoofer.

That would cost a bomb. I'm looking for a sound bar or a sound system under £100 ideally
Excellent price for what looks like an excellent bit of kit. Thanks!
How well would this compliment a Google Home Mini?

Headphones will be much much better imo for gaming. £50 will get you a damn good pair. Sound bars especially and surround sound systems work best in a bigger room.
