Wrong and how good it is are 2 different things. What is wrong with the description?

Anker have made many quality audio products at excellent prices so why dismiss it as being no good with no experience or reviews?

Voted hot, not cheap, but considering Dolby Atmos, may worth the money. Lack of reviews puts me off for now, I think for about £100 I would have taken the risk. Hopefully they will come with surround speakers at some point.

I think the “Atmos” bit simply means it will play Atmos sound tracks but it WILL NOT deliver the Atmos experience. Just Stereo.

Fab find
I bought a JVC Atmos sound bar from Currys last week for £180. It has a wireless woofer and the bass sounds amazing. As for Dolby Atmos there are a few things to take into consideration. There isn't much content to start with. Sky has some Atmos movies but you need the SkyQ 2TB to access. Netflix has a few movies as well in Atmos but as far as I can tell, you need the Apple TV 4K box with the Netflix app to get them. No other Netflix app provides Dolby Atmos. Amazon is almost non existent with Atmos. Some new TV's with Dolby Atmos have some demo content and the Netflix app may work with Atmos on those. I have a 4K DVD player but out of the 8 movies I have, none have the Atmos soundtrack. As for the Dolby Atmos sound, it's not that good with a soundbar, in-fact I'm rather disappointed. You're going to need the the rear speakers and even ceiling speakers if you want to appreciate true Dolby Atmos. I know Youtube has some film trailers and demos with Dolby Atmos but I haven't yet found a way to get the Atmos to the soundbar. I would say do some research before you take the plunge with any Atmos soundbar.
How can Atmos be 2.1? What’s the point? Just buy a stereo version! The whole point of Atmos is to have a minimum of 2 extra speakers on top of 5.1 surround speakers I.e. 5.1.2 speakers minimum.
I think the “Atmos” bit simply means it will play Atmos sound tracks but it WILL NOT deliver the Atmos experience. Just Stereo.

This must be a wind up lol. Plenty of Atmos content out there, it's the current standard and has been for some time now

Any soundbar without actual ceiling facing atmos speakers will not give any sort of real atmos affect, you have to look at the Samsung Q9r or the Sony ST5000 for any sort of real Atmos sound from a soundbar and that is big money.
Otherwise Atmos is just a gimmick like HDR is on a low brightness Panel

I agree. I'm tempted by the Atmos word rather than the technical audio engineering actually working in a home with a £200 product. For me, I'm going to go for the LG SLY6 with wireless rears to get DD & DTS Etc. For under £400 and will have far more content streamed on Netflix.
whats the best basic £100 soundbar out there?

I have the Samsung HW-Q90R with true Dolby Atmos and rear speakers and there are loads of Atmos blue rays and 4k and the sound is truly amazing, the soundbar we are talking about will at best use virtual Atmos but i guess its good for someone on a budget

I have a decent 7.1 sound system which includes 2 separate upward firing Atmos speakers. I agree that Atmos seems to be a gimmic.
I switched from an LG Atmos soundbar to a sonos 5.1 setup, massive upgrade. Atmos is just a gimmick in my opinion, if the intention is to have the sound come from above then the only real solution is to have ceiling speakers.
How does ARC work on this though? My Sony Soundstage which is 5 years old now, has ARC and also 4 HDMI ports on the back of it, so it acts like a HDMI hub.
You'd have to be an Anker to spend £150 on a soundbar with zero reviews. As above, there isn't much Atmos content, and you really need more speaker than just a soundbar.

That soundbar isn't great though and you can't assess how good atmos is with that unit.

People who say it's a gimmick must have been doing something wrong!

I was watching a movie once and literally jumped out my seat as I thought someone was smashing into cars outside. I felt like such an idiot when I realised it was background sounds from Atmos speakers
Companies seem to be able to throw the Atmos logo on anything at the moment, even my Lenovo laptop supposedly has Atmos speakers built in. If you're really that excited for Atmos, I'd say do it properly, not with a soundbar...
So a lot of for and against arguments for this soundbar. I have ordered with delivery tomorrow.
Do I keep it or send back?
This will be my first ever soundbar
Still active.

I bought a few months back and love it. My first atmos experience though. they do provide a good surround experience even though it is in front of you. It gets loud and has lots of bass as its got built in subwoofers
The delivery came earlier than I anticipated.
Using it currently over Bluetooth using my firestick.
As I have always used the built in TV speakers it is quite obvious to see a difference. However how do I know if its worth the £150?
Tempted
Happy with mine. But then again I'm no sound engineer
