Good thing about the counter-facing bass speakers is it means it doesn’t vibrate off the shelf when playing

I am very happy for you.. can you make a stereo pair,?

I didn’t think so.. That’s why they released the Revolve.

And never mind about this antiquated sound link piece of garbage, this is what “What Hi-Fi” said about the £200 *Bose Soundlink Revolve* (£400 for a pair) ....…

VerdictCompared with its main rivals, such as the UE Megaboom, the Revolve is a bit too pricey. £200 is quite a lot to pay for a speaker, especially when the Megaboom is bigger, clearer, more ruggedly-built and available for less.

However, it’s hard not to admire the Bose Revolve for its range of talents, though, and despite not getting the full five stars, we can imagine this tiny, talented speaker will still turn plenty of heads.

£50.... I called up. £75 + VAT.

HOWEVER.... just sold the speaker for £45 on eBay. Now to sell the box and dock separately and ordered this one so it’s cost me half the upgrade

Their online chat said £50. I told them to shove it
18 months and yours died? You should have complained to the retailer, consumer protection is on your side here.

This one is brilliant. I also have the bigger brother and I can connect both to my phone at the same time too. For this price it is a steal!

I have the Anker soundcore boost not gonna put Bose down as I have 3 Bose items , wave system , soundbar and headphones but this particular speaker is over priced compared to the competition plus the soundcore boost can be used as a power bank too bought it certified refurbished from Anker direct on Amazon for £40

Wow, you really don't like this speaker do you! I have two and they sound excellent and they have had many rave reviews. It does look a bit dated now but I disagree with the rest of your comments.

I'm in the same boat, this morning I made my gf charge hers to see how good it was and I was so underwhelmed by it. So now I've decided to sell my sealed one to buy a sonos one.

Looks like an alarm clock, yes. Disappointing sound...? No, nope, not at all, negative.

Given it's size, the sound is loud, warm and bassy. I play it in the office and people always say they were expecting to see a full hifi system when they first hear it.
Have had this for five years. Great sound in a portable format and rugged enough to throw in a bag. Been all around the world with me and still going strong

No it's not. I've owned both and can categorically say ...Bose is better
I like the speaker but one annoying point if you do not use it often is that it will not switch on unless you reconnect it to the base unit.
I had this speaker for several years. Great sound, good battery life, nice and portable. I believe I paid about 170.

My only gripe is that it doesn't have an auto off function.
When you stop your music on your phone it's really easy to forget to manually turn off the speaker resulting in the battery being completely flat next time you go to use it.

It can't be that hard to program it to switch off after a few minutes of not being used.

Ditto.
Do you Bluetooth songs? Want to buy a speaker but am not tech savvy. Thanks
Can anyone confirm, does this come with the dock? Also is it boxed as I'm wanting to give it as a Christmas present and ideally look brand new.
Glorious sound for the size

Yes will come with dock and charger. May be retail packaging; maybe retail with refurb sticker on it; maybe white box;
I heard it this is really loud and plenty deep, but I stick with my pair of soundcore as it makes nicer sound together. And of course Bose is still overpriced as usual..
Anker is miles better and half the price.
A flatmate had one of these and after using it quite a bit I can confirm that it has excellent sound quality, so good that I was shocked. Now personally I can't really compare it to anything else and of course other, better-sounding speakers will undoubtedly have come out since this was released. But I can assure you it sounds great.

It was given 4 stars by What Hi-Fi in October 2015.
