Been looking for some small speakers for my desk, these look like they'll do the trick. Cheers OP.
shame they won't work with phone and mp3 players they look coll
8.5% Quidco.
Great price, sound fab, but they don't behave when computers sleep, make sure you check the reviews.
Wow, some great reviews from 2011 but these were around £100 around 2011, less than £14 now is too good to refuse.

Great find. Heat added.
Is it just me or is their website running really slowly?

30W measured as PMPO no doubt - which is marketing parlance - a good guesstimate is about a tenth of true RMS, so 3W is about right...
Whatever the output is they still sound good for two small cubes plugged into a USB socket.
These do sound fab.

However they are USB only. If your PCs goes to sleep, you'll have to reboot to get your sound back.
Thanks

We have these brilliant little speakers mind that it needs the power of a pc USB to make them work
There’s another offer whereby you purchase two sets of these, and with the code, it comes to £23.40 for a pair of pairs.

Yeah, tried that, sound still disappeared.

No problem on my PC any more anyway. Set it to not sleep or hibernate. I just switch it off when I'm finished.

Cheers OP. Just picked up 2 pairs for just over 23 quid. Should be much better sound than the last pair I got from them, Creative SBS Vivid 80 Speakers. I guess they weren't too bad for a freebie.

HHow did you manage this?

Just after the video and below the "features", is a section marked Bundles. This allows you to order a second pair for 25% off. Which is £10.50, together with the first pair is £26. Minus the 10% discount is £23.40.

Not sure what I'll use them for, but ordered a pair of these.
Damn this website...
Not as good a deal obviously, but I ordered on Amazon with no-rush delivery and got the £3 credit. £15 on Amazon currently.

It's peak power, they have a capacitor built in that charges up and allows higher output when needed
a 100w amplifier doesnt require 100watts .. one is sound pressure level, the other is electrical nrg. plus, its pimpo .. add the two channels together at peak volume 5% distortion.(amstrad ratings )

To be honest the price hasn't changed (even though it said expires at midnight), and the voucher is still valid.

Ah I see. Thanks for that!
Cracking price. Heat added, for those worried about USB
Mine’s arrived. I’ve only opened one of them and hooked them up to this MacBook Pro. They sound good, but not room-fillingly gigantic — but more than adequate for sitting in front of them. However, the one I opened has an intermittent fault with the right-hand speaker. I suspect this is a cable fault, as when I wiggle it it cracks back into and out of operation. It’s only a phono-to-phono so not worth sending back for, unless it turns out to be a phono socket fault (if it’s the cable I’d like to replace it with a longer one anyway, they’re only a monitor’s width apart with the included cable).

Just got mine. Sound is adequate. Like you, I'm getting the problem with the right speaker. It seems to a problem with the cable connection, not the socket itself. I just changed it around and seems to better, so far. Many reviews on Amazon complained about this issue too.
Definitely a problem with the cable. One end seems have a problem whichever speaker I connect it to.

Nice try - this is HotUKDeals - sound pressure is measured in Pascals... There is no direct correlation between electrical power in to sound power out, there are many factors that come into play, however this is HotUKDeals - you can research the details elsewhere...
It's PMPO btw....

I’m now starting to think it’s the socket. I’ve swapped the cable with one of mine, same thing. It’s sensitive to how far it’s shoved into the hole. As it were.
ive heard the usb and the rca cable are quite short. anyone got a link to an electrical store that doesn't have a knockoff quality cables. I;m looking for at having the laptop 2m at least away from the speakers. I dunno before buying do i need to buy both or just a usb extension.

If not a bluetooth speaker might be better for me but ive still heard the sounds better with a cable.
What does it have to do with pimps?
For anyone who's received them, are they any good? On the fence about buying and the amazon reviews are stupidly mixed.

USB powers both the speaker plus the inbuilt DAC. The longer the cables, the lower the volume. It is a straight trade-off with all one cable USB speakers and the cable from the main speaker to the USB jack is very short. For smallish laptops only.
Still the same price, maybe junk?
